The Mercury News just wrote that Los Altos made Steve Jobs's "humble" home a historic landmark. That makes me feel great. My home, three blocks away, is about the same size, style, and age. I didn't realize I lived in such a dump. Zillow says the old Jobs house is worth $1.6 million. Just how expensive does a house have to be to escape humble status around here?

Well... If you have to ask... I wish I could have afforded to live in one of those "dumps". Read yesterday that avg price in Atherton is over 6mil... sheesh.

Sent from my 1860 sq ft humble abode in Martinez which I scored in the mid 90s for under 300k, cause I couldn't afford the valley or the peninsula...

Cheers,
