This article says it has a 12 kWh battery and can go up to 34 miles in pure EV mode.

I think the OP is saying what he'd LIKE to see, not what is reality. I was a little deceived by the title as well, as if he were announcing a new product coming to market. That being said, I'd like to see Nissan develop some plug-in hybrids. I'd like to see them do some electrification to the Rogue.
