It's already been revealed that it's a 1000hp, 4 motor, all wheel drive bat mobile with two seats in tandem.

Single-seat, apparently. But with oxygen supply!

The entire presentation is not up, but some of the clips they played at the reveal is posted.

The "batmobile" is just a design concept that lets them show some of the possibilities of the platform. They had some good graphics on the presentation that showed how the platform can scale and it showed it as a Truck, SUV, CUV, Sedan, Hatch and sports car. It will be interesting to see what they show for the vehicle they intend to produce in two years (according to the presentation). The car on stage today is not intended to ever see production at this point, just a design concept.

Since I'm working CES, I wandered over for the reveal... Totally impractical of course but pretty cool looking and great showmanship on the presentation and technology platforms...

Wow, who was steering that ship? Some investors have some money to burn. Time to bring the Aptera back.

So it's a startup with a skateboard EV platform concept and no real viable product to sell or show except a concept car that is very niche at best. There is really nothing unique here only concept implementation for multiple EV configurations. It will be interesting when they have a real-world product and specs on range, drives and chemistries to be used in production vehicles. Seems like a me too follow on the Tesla model for the most part with no actual products yet. Every one is going to want to compete in the autonomous transportation market at all platform levels, commuting, corporate, delivery, fleet, etc.

The Verge: Behind the scenes at Faraday Future, an electric carmaker on the brink of collapse

There's some goofy reporting here. They keep referring to "former Nissan factory". I had to look up where FF is based. It's based in Gardena, CA. I'm unaware of Nissan ever having a plant on the US West Coast. Their North American HQ used to be in Gardena (http://articles.latimes.com/2005/nov/11/business/fi-nissan11) before they moved to TN. This is probably what the article is talking about.

I've been confused about the relationship between LeEco and FF. They made a bunch of noise with http://nbr.com/2016/10/19/leecos-push-into-the-u-s-market/ (and other stuff earlier) yet a few weeks later, it was widely reported that LeEco was running out of cash:

https://www.buzzfeed.com/priya/turmoil-at-faraday-future reports similar wonkiness over there.

Lots of sizzle, no steak.

As the LEAF and Tesla model S were announced and approached production and delivery there was huge pent up desire by many to own an EV, so much so that they would put down deposits on unknowns that were a year or more from reality. I'm thinking a newcomer like FF doesn't have that luxury, people in 2017 aren't going to sit on the edges of their seats waiting to see if they can execute. To be relevant now you have to actually deliver car.

It's almost as if they are taking the Tesla approach of starting with the Roadster to fund the S, and then the S and X to help grow to deliver the 3.

What would have been interesting would have been a 200+ mile EV with 2 or 4 motors that cost under $50K. I don't care if it beats the 0-60 of a Model S.

To be sure, the future is still coming, but Faraday has whittled seven future models down to just two, which should be built in its (also future) production facility north of Las Vegas. The planned facility, expected to go online in 2019, is now promised to have an annual production capacity of just 10,000 vehicles, though there's no word how that production capacity will divide among the two models. Faraday is also staying mum on the other part of building boutique electric cars: Selling boutique electric cars.

http://www.businessinsider.com/faraday-future-money-problems-electric-car-nevada-sources-2017-1 from mid Jan 2017 (a few weeks after CES) claims
The company announced that it received more than 64,000 reservations for the car shortly after CES, but people were allowed to put their names down with or without a $5,000 deposit. Sources close to the company told Business Insider 60 people actually submitted a paid reservation.
Anyone have more accurate numbers on the paid reservation numbers?
