Hi everyone,
Nissan Leaf has 215/50R17 tyres. Previously I had a Nissan Qashqai with rims of 17" which my dealer confirmed are compatible. On the Qashqai rims I have winter tyres, practically new, but they are 215/60R17.
I know that by fitting them the odometer will show a lower speed than the actual speed, but mechanically do you know if they can be fitted or if there are problems (maybe they hit the body of the car when steering)?

Regards

Gian Carlo

I put 215/55R17 tires on my 2015 for the last set and have been using 215/55R17 tires on my 2019. They fit OK on both cars, but I don't know if 215/60R17 would clear the inside of the fenders under full suspension compression or during sharp turns. I do know that the 215/55R17 tires reduce the fender clearance enough that I would be concerned about using tire chains if I lived in a location with frequent snow/ice conditions.
