Wanted to get an opinion on this issue to see if it applies to my vehicle.
2018 SV 24,000 mi. A couple months ago the right front area started exhibiting a banging "pong" like hitting a gong sound. The sound happens intermittently only during the first a couple minutes of driving after the car has been sitting parked for some time. It seems to happen when accelerating and turning to the left. But does also occur when accelerating from a stop.
This is not the clicking "tock" sound that this vehicle had been serviced for a few years ago with the TSB.
Do the symptoms match the issue and solution reported above? Wondering if I should take to Nissan service or a private mechanic.
