Thanks for sharing the article - you make some really great points. One additional note is that I prefer the black interior of the regular Soul to the gray that interior of the Soul EV. The interior materials in my car are nice to touch, but just don't look as rich as they would in black:

I find my Soul's range estimate to be a bit optimistic, but I'm positive that it's due to my driving style. I'm used to driving performance cars and make little attempt to drive more efficiently in my Soul than in my other vehicles.

Back on topic... finally got to take delivery of this tonight.

So the data set has grown from 5 to 42 sales, but the average sale price has dropped by $1,000 from last month. Just-off-lease 24 month old Leafs continue to be the best bargain going.

My local dealer hasn't received their first shipment of Soul EV's, but they do have a California-reg demo car now. I drove it today and liked it a lot. By the stats, the Soul EV is a very comparable match to the the Leaf, but I prefer the Soul's styling and the cooled seats are a nice bonus...

Took my own advice and signed the paperwork on a new EV this evening.

I'm telling my family and friends that if they thinking about an EV lease or purchase, do it by June 30th! I imagine that Tesla sales will continue, but that Leaf sales here will fall pretty drastically.

Georgia's ZEV tax credit will expire on July 1, 2015 and EVs will be required to pay a new $200/yr road tax. The provision was rolled into the state's transportation funding bill that also included increases in transportation fuel taxes.

Follow-up: Just got word from Ed Voyles Kia (Marietta, GA) is that their first delivery Soul EVs should arrive on April 23rd.
