Crashed my LEAF, maybe totalled :(

OK, it looks like they are indeed going to declare the LEAF a total loss. Blue book quotes a trade-in value of $26,597 for a 2013 LEAF SL with 5000 miles in very good condition. I consider that to be a little optimistic since I could get a new one for less than that (after the $7500 federal...

Crashed my LEAF, maybe totalled :(

Thanks for the info on salvage values, Klayfish. And to BoulderLeaf: The accident was actually last week. Corner of McCaslin and Marshall Rd just off US 36 at the Louisville exit. It is a popular place for accidents!. There is a design flaw in the traffic flow pattern (which I have only...

Crashed my LEAF, maybe totalled :(

Thanks for all the information. To (partially) corroborate dm33's experience, I am very happy with the safety performance of the leaf. I got T-boned by a Maxima that was going about 35 mph (on passenger side, with no passenger present). The front end of the nissan crumpled in nicely. There...

Thanks for the quick response, Tony. I just got the estimate today, and will talk to the adjuster tomorrow. Hopefully you're right.

Crashed my LEAF, maybe totalled :(

Crashed my 2013 SL :( Leased the car around June 1 and it has about 5000 miles on it. The body shop came back with an estimate of $18,600 for repairs, but notes that there may be additional damage once they get into it. I think this can't possibly be worth repairing, but I don't know how it...

Have you brodered your LEAF? (Mileage from VLB to Turtle)

Got to see the turtle today on my 2013 SL! Low battery was at 18% capacity, very low battery at 8% capacity. 11 miles from VLB to turtle (driving very slowly back and forth near my house for the last 5 miles or so!). My impression is that I probably got about as far on the 8% of capacity from...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Thanks Ron. That means that on, say, a $7000 lease deal, there might be about $2000 in taxes and registration fees? Subtract off financing and related charges and Nissan is lucky if they recognize much over $4000 in revenue for the car. Nissan has got to be taking a bath on these. Ouch...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Oh, wanted to report one additional data point. My lease agreement reports (in Section 9) that taxes and other official and license fees etc are $1430.53. This is for Colorado. I wonder how it compares to other states??? (I don't have any idea what this figure actually includes...). Hope...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Just got my new LEAF!! Thanks to everyone here for the great information. Not a lot of data here for people looking to lease in Colorado, so I will detail my experiences. But first of all a quick spoiler: had a super positive experience working with Ehrlich Nissan in Greeley. Worked with...
