I was aware of the decision but haven't been following subsequent activity closely. I am interested in getting updates since I haven't been able to find any info on how tiering works for the E9A rate we're on now.

I live in Milpitas and I think I go through Vacaville about once a year, usually on long drives to locations where the Leaf isn't about to go anytime soon. However, if the quick charge station becomes available, I might head up there about once a year.

When I ordered my LEAF, I don't remember the "clear charging port protector" as being listed as an available accessory. Since it is now on the Nissan web site, I'd appreciate it if anyone who has a LEAF could chime in as to whether or not they think this is something worth purchasing.

Just checked this out. While this may be good news for those who decided to go with the E9b, it doesn't seem to offer any chance of relief to people like me who are going with E9a due to the high upfront costs of installing a sub-panel & sub-meter to be eligible for E9b. Sigh....
