Leaf Quick Release Hitch for bike racks or cargo

    Haha, I can imagine that!

Leaf Quick Release Hitch for bike racks or cargo

Awesome! I would totally try modifying this hitch if I still had a LEAF. As it is I ended up with a BMW i3 this time... maybe I'll peek under the rear and see if this hitch could be adapted to the i3. :-)

Leaf Quick Release Hitch for bike racks or cargo

I have a Bill Davis QR hitch for a 2012 LEAF I just removed from a lease return. In SF East Bay, if someone wants to come pick it up it is yours for $100 or make me an offer. This is a 2" receiver version. (Totally unsure if it could be modified for later year models, but I'm not sure why not.)

    Bike Rack

The rack fits well into Bill's hitch and does not otherwise touch the vehicle itself -- so certainly no marring (even when folding the rack up against the car) The installation of the hitch itself of course does require some "modification" of the vehicle underbody, which is explained in detail...

    Window won't roll up

Maybe something like this is a good compromise? http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/sports-imports_2241_83074560" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; One can assuage their guilt for rolling up/down the windows by cranking a hand crank just enough to replace the wasted power. :D

    EVSE tax credit reinstated

Nice. What if I installed the NEMA 14-50 outlet for the EVSE myself, but paid no other out-of-pocket expenses for the EVSE install? Can I claim the materials cost for the outlet install? Also, does anyone know if evseupgrade counts for this credit?j

    Bike Rack

I got one of Bill's hitches installed a bit ago. I'm really pleased with the quick release feature of the hitch! This past weekend I finally got my hitch rack. I ordered the Quick Rack from 1upUSA: http://www.1upusa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This rack met all of my...

I have Travelers. Leaf insurance was the same or a little less than the 2005 Subaru Outback Sport it replaced.

    Is Carwings glitchy for you?

Nice. Thanks for the update. (Obviously without owners like you we'd never know what is going on) I wonder if we'll ever know "what went wrong" It would be interesting at least. For now I've switched to climate control timers. With the the kids I leave somewhere between 7:30 and 8am (depends...

    Is Carwings glitchy for you?

This morning I plugged in the car and tried Carwings to get CC from wall power. Tried a couple times to get CC started to no avail. So I went out to the car and pushed the on button twice and set CC to auto and went back inside to get kids ready. Twenty minutes later I went out and the car was...

    Is Carwings glitchy for you?

As much as I like the idea of sending a command from my house to the car in the driveway via internet to servers in Japan then back to the car over some ad hoc cellular service, I sometimes wish there was just a button on the keyfob... These were my thoughts this morning after loading kids into...

    Is Carwings glitchy for you?

CC only worked for me after several tries this morning. I park outside and take the kids to school first thing in the morning, so I really like to be able to have a warm car for them. However, for the past week turning CC on from the web portal or the mobile app has just not been working. It...

My Leaf roll back and almost kill a kid!

I agree on the master cylinder. Not that I know much about vehicle braking systems, but I have had this same problem on a vehicle! The brakes would start to grab as I applied them approaching a stop sign/light, then suddenly sink all the way to the floor and I would just go rolling through...

Looking for home central A/C recommendations

Great advice. We used the "Energy Upgrade California" program to do this work and got a $4000 rebate. Highly recommended. Your rebate is based on your projected gas/electricity savings, so in an older home you are more than likely to get the full rebate. https://energyupgradeca.org/overview"...

Looking for home central A/C recommendations

I can highly recommend Trane. I have a 15 SEER unit and wished I would have gotten a 2 stage 16 SEER unit. I think in my situation I would have used the low stage quite a bit. Instead I get a lot of cycling. Your pricing is in line with mine. However, like others have said MAKE SURE they are...
