    2013 range vs. 2012

Is there a difference between the European and USA version of 2013 leaf? As reviews in NL state a greater range (real world 150 vs 120 km).

    TSLA stock price discussion thread

I sold at 95. I've never seen a stock inflate so fast. And over inflated, even with the expected revenues in the future calculated in.

And the gen. III has an epa range of 68 miles. Which in my opinion is ok for such a small car.

    Smart ED

Ah well, for 15k after incentives, it's a pretty decent car. Might be a bit to small for the average American though:-) In the narrow cobbled streets of Amsterdam and beyond it works quite well

2013 LEAF Specs, Pricing, Options Released In Japan

If the current Leaf would be tested according to the 5cycle test instead of the 2cycle test, what would the EPA range be? To compare the 2012 and the 2013 Leaf, you should test them with the same standards for a clear comparison. Will this happen?

Leaf as 50 mile daily driver in Maine?

For the 2012 it looks indeed as a 'can but shouldn't'. But you might want to wait for the 2013 specs. It won't be a spectacular change. But with slightly more EPA range, and especially a better (more economical) heater; I'd say, it should be possible. Any thoughts?

Daimler delays launch of 2012 Smart ForTwo EV

Exactly, a perfect commuter. And with the 3rd gen, you don't have to shy away from the freeway. How cool is that for 15k!

Daimler delays launch of 2012 Smart ForTwo EV

Americans are not very used (yet) to small cars. For me, the Smart it works incredibly well in the city of Amsterdam en still good on the sub urban highways (speed limit in the Netherlands between 62 and 80 mph). I've got a BMW 1 series as a company car, but drive the electric Smart around town...

DC-area taxi company wants to go all-electric with Leaf

I agree with GRA that the Nissan NV200 is the better choice for NYC! The Netherlands have an extensive network of chargers. In Amsterdam only, there are over 1200 chargers and more than 2500 nationwide and numbers are growing fast. Amsterdam has the highest density of chargers in the world. And...

DC-area taxi company wants to go all-electric with Leaf

Most taxi trips are short hauls, not like your 50 mile trip. That's a pretty expensive taxi ride btw:-) But you' re right. There are about 40 fast chargers in the Netherlands. So when Taxi-e runs into a customer like you, they need half an hour charging before heading back

DC-area taxi company wants to go all-electric with Leaf

Amsterdam has an electric taxi company as well. It works perfectly fine. They started early 2012 and now have about 20 Leafs zooming around (numbers are growing). The website is http://www.taxi-e.nl/en/home" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . They are preferred carrier for a lot of...
