IEVS: Consumer Reports Not Impressed By 2018 Nissan LEAF

make sure u send Tesla a note so they can troubleshoot logs and such. They should be able to pinpoint what it is that's "running" and draining the battery. Over the Air updates may also address these issue(s). One thing I'd like to note: Leaf loses the range PERMANENTLY due to no TMS...

    Toyota Mirai Fuel Cell

    1) do u have an outlet? check. okay you're good to go EV. 2) do you have a hydrogen set-up to produce pressurized gaseous fuel? no? okay see question one. Yes, it IS a shorter list of questions. huh. imagine that. It's completely laughable that a fuel cell POS has LESS restrictions than...

    This is normal?

I trust and use Leaf Spy kWh exclusively. So far so good. The GOM is a nice reference to compare, but I've figured out most of my routes and most of the kWh needed and utilizing LeafSpy has not left me stranded due to inaccurate numbers. In fact, LeafSpy has "extended" my range (which is...

    Electrify America Network

I have an older pack? I remember the early days of 2014-2015 (for me). I'd see 45 kW very regularly, then the usual taper. Now 2018 and I'm down a bar (17.5 kWh) and i rarely see 40 kW. Age and usage slows the fast charge? dunno. I have used a LOT of the AeroVironment DC chargers...

    Electrify America Network

yep, exactly. ALL the DC fast chargers here in Oregon are "50 kW". I don't ever see that charging. maybe 40 kW for 2 minutes. LeafSpy has a way of showing what's going on. VERY typically it's 30 kW or lower, EVEN at a 15% charge status. oh well. at least upgrades are coming "later"...

    Electrify America Network

all right! only one more year to go! uhhhhgg, and I'll guess one stall per DC charger location, with NO enforcement of anti-ICEing laws, and overpriced to boot. win-win-win???? Oh, and low 22-30 kW power. NOT fast. gee, what a great way to get more EVs on the road! Let's see where this...

2018 LEAF Vs Tesla Model 3 SR: A Comparison Table for the USA

As i live and breathe...for 4 years of wonderful Leaf experience I have not seen ANY improvement in the Chademo landscape here in the PNW, specifically Oregon. ONE stall per location is all there ever has been (Aeroviroment, West Coast Green Highway...

2018 LEAF Vs Tesla Model 3 SR: A Comparison Table for the USA

Just how is that Nissan Fast Charge network coming along? Really? and the battery degradation lawsuits? yeah, thought so. So over it. ONE company is doing everything they can to bring about sustainable transport. The others? Just falling further behind the EV curve. Oh well. Carry...

    Jaguar I-PACE BESUV available 2018

http://www.motortrend.com/news/2019-jaguar-i-pace-review-london-to-berlin-electric-jag/ oh, but road trip public charging sucks. too bad. I wonder if there's someone else working on that? Well, at least ya get 230 miles out of a 90 kWh battery.

2018 LEAF Vs Tesla Model 3 SR: A Comparison Table for the USA

I just don't understand the lies that persist with people when they mention Tesla. wow. Elon is doing it right when disruption causes ALL kinds of FUD. again, wow.

Clicking noise during acceleration and decceleration

Another data point: My 2014 Leaf SV, 45k miles, developed this clicking when accelerating and slowing about 2 months ago. Temps are warming up a bit here in OR so driving around with windows down proved too much clicking to be heard! Called Kiefer Nissan in Corvallis. Scheduled an...

    Electra Meccanica SOLO

17.3 kWh equals 100 miles? that pretty good efficiency, no? It is light-weight. But over 5 miles per kWh? I'm wondering if the real world will lower that some. Depending on usage, maybe this will be just a lower-speed commuter for people. interesting, nonetheless. It seems this is doing...

GCC: Nissan shifting EV focus to affordability instead of range

I'm down 21%. roughly 65 miles in good weather. 2014 SV. I haven't attempted a 70 mile trip to the coast since summer 2017. I'm ready to move on from my "72-84" miles EV. It's been great but there is better out there than a box o batteries on wheels. Affordable? sure. Long-lasting? not...

    2011 LEAF Replacement: Need Help w/Pros & Cons of 2018 BOLT, I3, LEAF & Tesla Model 3

wow. just wow. how any sane person can come to these conclusions...wow. pretty much all wrong. but, like I said plenty of choices out there for long-range EVs with a robust and expanding fast charge network. I love my Leaf! But something better is here whilst Nissan keeps putting...
