OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

You can get the contacts for 6 gauge wire also and assemble the quantity of contacts as you need using "powerpoles" from the same manufacturer and contact ratings.

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

For removable connections and above the 50AMPs requirements, you better go the Anderson's line of connectors. The most appropriate would be the 175Amps.

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

No good for the quick disconnect. If you are seriously on the fact, you better use Anderson's connectors, a little more money but very worth it. This come in an assortment of colors, amperage and the same gender.

This will be a game changer addition and the best way to operate the EVSE by NON technical users(wife). I already ordered the LCD display with the push button switches. I hope not to encounter problems with the code and how to implement it.

If we are referring to the J-1772 wand, No hole can be drill to the latch and /on release button. To your stated prices, these are for the complete assembly (cable and connector wand) and it's already assembled. No especial crimping tools will be needed; the 6ga wires will connect to a standard...

    ITT J1772 Plug/Cable Set

I do not want to get into any argument with other fellow participants but, I do NOT think that having an UL listing for the J1772 handheld connector will make any DIY EVSE an UL approved devise. If you want a UL listed devise, like a EVSE, you must purchase such one already made and backed by a...
