Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

I looked through your formula and it's very snowball in that it relies heavily on strings. I think though going over your numbers of where you insert zeroes and ignored bits they are more or less the same. The main difference is mine works in Europe and North America. I had Nikki test it when...

    iOS LeafSpy Pro Support

That's all well and good, but I have a Konnwei WiFi adaptor and see it in my Wi-Fi settings get to copy it. I followed the set up instructions and assigned a static IP address. That's what I copied when I copied the SSID. However, when I then go to the main page, the connection remains...

    False positive unplugged messages

Reminders like that are no better than the false positive text for being plugged in but not charging. I would start ignoring the reminder just as I ignore the text message now. I do use the reminders for other things though, but only things that are rare and I'm likely to forget.

    False positive unplugged messages

You assume I could accurately predict my home arrival time. If I arrive too early I end up charging immediately at peak rate and not need it anymore by the time Super Off-Peak arrives. And assuming I get home during the blackout window as you've suggested I'd still get the unplugged text...

    False positive unplugged messages

This is my third LEAF, and the 2013 never had this problem. I use a dumb ClipperCreek CS-100 charger at home, no timer. The Blink unit is hamfisted at 3.3kW and an ugly vampire draw. Habit means less than a 1% failure rate but then you get that disturbing letter from the bank, an EV-hating...

    False positive unplugged messages

About once or twice a year I've been known to be under so much stress that I forget to plug in my LEAF and with a 70 mi round trip commute this is tragic! So I used to rely on NissanConnectEV/CARWINGS to send me plug in reminders via text message if I forget to plug in. The reminder I need is...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

I can't remember what fields stored the grid data but I believe those are the fields the last two posters were struggling with so here again is my explanatory post. Specifically, grid_data is field 9, x is field 10, and y is field 11, IIRC:

Congratulations! Always nice to have another LEAF in the capital region!

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

Is there a way to get the app to log directly to an ES File Explorer Cloud-share folder. I had to move files from my SD card to via ES File Explorer to my DropBox account (I wasn't able to connect to Drive) so I could continue logging. I'd be nice if it wrote directly to the cloud so I could...

    3D printed J1772 holester

I wish I had a 3D printer, but I digress. Personally, though, I would love to see a 3D print of the entire handle since the handle is pretty expensive though one would still need the electronics for the pilot signal. It was a pretty cool event though; well done Mark and Lanny and Rick!

IIRC putting your car in park while waiting at an intersection is illegal in Virginia. May be under the Reckless Driving code which carries a Class 6 Misdemeanor penalty but I don't think so. I think it's only a 3-point infraction with a relatively low fine. But I will say this, the problem...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

Oh, that is interesting! Thanks Nikki! So it don't quite go to the equator after all, unlike North America where it does. 20W to 68E is interesting though clearly Iceland isn't completely covered, nor is the entire Middle East. Since this is interesting to everyone on Earth, here's a Fusion...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

Glad I could help half of the inimitable Transportation Evolved (aminorjourney) team from the AECN team, meaning me. :) I would like to welcome anyone who's interested in joining me in developing my python script further to send me a PM and I'll add you to my access list. The code itself is...

Wow! Great catch! Yeah, actually it should have been 0x3FFC not 0xFFF0 since the upper 2 bits aren't used in the calculation anyway. Sorry for the typo but I fixed the original post and left a note of thanks on the bottom.

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

It wouldn't be too hard to accomplish with my python script based on a longitude, latitude and name, with any other settings like markers or sounds as you like. My Address Creator uses Python Keywords so you can do a limited set creation and generate grid points from the Longitude and Latitude...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

Sorry for the bug in the instructions. For reference, I'm getting 0xa4e39073 in hex for the GridData and you're getting 0xa4c31fc3 which means it's off by 0x00208fb0 (Exclusive Or). In other words, the X portion of the Grid Data has only one errant bit but the Y portion is very off. I'd focus...

Editing the Nav Stored Locations via SD Card

Taking your grid data using my Python code (which implements the algorithm above among other things, https://svn.timehorse.com/public-repos/trunk/Code/NissanLEAF/parse_addresses.py" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) I find the coordinates 123W00'14", 49N14'48" which as a fraction...

First 2012 Bar loss? First East Coast Bar Loss?

There's a L2 near my route which added an hour or a CHAdeMO 45 minutes out of my war with traffic. Also one about 10 minutes from my house, in the opposite direction from work. :)

First 2012 Bar loss? First East Coast Bar Loss?

As y'all can see from my sig, I flipped my 2012 because, not so much the bars as the cold temperature, no heater, hypermiling it still couldn't get me home from work, 62 mi (100 km) round trip with no Charge At Work, when the temperature went below about 23 fahrenheit (-5 celsius). So I did...

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

+1 (Though imageshack is blocked at work so I can't see the shots ATM.) I will say though is I really would be curious to sample all 3 busses, including the Audio Bus, but that, I'll admit, is a very esoteric desire and not worth much investigation. But if you need beta testers for iOS let me...
