compact spare tire and wheel for 2019 Leaf SV Plus

I'm finding a lot of responses to the question about buying a spare tire which recommend the Altima wheel as a satisfactory replacement. But I'm also seeing in the responses that they refer to 16" wheels. My 2019 Leaf has 17" wheels. Which used 17" wheels will work for me, please?

    Leaf 2018 40kWh - AUX power source

So, is there any clarity on the subject of, How do I get/force my LEAF to charge the 12v battery? Is the answer, Put it in Ready mode? or Plug it in? or ...something else? Also, is there a way to monitor the health/ charge level/ charging status of the 12v battery? Many thanks, in advance....

    Leaf 2018 40kWh - AUX power source

I'm trying to understand the 12v/ auxiliary power situation. There are two auxiliary "outlets," in my 2019 SV Plus, as I see it. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) 1) One USB socket and 2) the classic cigarette lighter socket (CLS) in the center console. If the car is not moving/parked, the USB...

New Member, trying to get off the fence

I did buy the LELink OBDII dongle when I was looking for Gen 1 LEAFs, but never got LeafSpy Pro (I'm a Mac user and I don't believe that LeafSpy - free version- will work with my iPhone, Correct?). Is LeafSpy the only interface available? In any case, is it useful on the Gen 2 LEAF? Can someone...

New Member, trying to get off the fence

I have never found a 2016 or 2017 to look at in my area, but having test drove a 2019 and 2020, I made the decision to pay up for a Gen 2 and started looking at low mileage Gen 2s. It turned out that there are a number of 2019 brand new LEAFs on dealers lots that are highly discounted. When I...

    Change Amperage Charge Rate?

...is anybody familiar with Lectron? Is this one of those Chinese companies you were referring to? https://www.amazon.com/LECTRON-Level-Charger-Extension-J1772/dp/B079NTXNK7/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=lectron&qid=1608572603&s=automotive&sr=1-1

Does 2018 LEAF come with 24 kWh battery?

OK, so, I’m focusing on 2018 S with Charge Package and All-Weather Package, for now. Can anyone tell me or point me to info about/ the difference between the “Hybrid Heater System” that comes in the SL and as an option on SV, and the heater in S trim? Are there other things on the S trim that I...

Does 2018 LEAF come with 24 kWh battery?

I’ve switched over from looking for a Gen 1 LEAF to looking at Gen 2 LEAFs for several reasons. I have had no luck finding a 2017 LEAF in my local area to see in person or test drive, let alone attach a LEAFSPY and check the computer log, so I’m working on beefing up my budget to get a Gen 2...

New Member, trying to get off the fence

I am currently planning to find and drive a 2016 and/or 2017 as soon as possible, but they don't appear to be quite as low in cost. I would jump on a 2017 that checked out for $11k, at this point. I have LELink ordered, and as soon as it comes I'll be anxious to try it out with LeafSpy on a...

As I said earlier, I test drove a Bolt, yesterday. What I didn't say, and can now say with clarity, is that I had thought to myself as I left the Chevy dealer, "Is this a car I am happy to drive? Is this a car I will want to experience every day?" I wrestled with myself, as, the only frame of...

Re: Bolt - I test drove a new 2020, yesterday. Not impressed with the ride. Looking forward to test driving my first, ever, Leaf today, albeit a 2019. I'll take what I can get. I need to compare the ride to the Bolt and it's the only one available to me right now. Re: 2016 link sent above...

New Member, trying to get off the fence

I think you've identified the horns of my current dilemma. If I could get away with the 2017/30kWh Leaf and keep the cost down below $12k, I'd be happy. But if I have to spend another $5k or more for a 2018 (or 2019, which is available in the same ballpark), why wouldn't I choose one, like the...

New Member, trying to get off the fence

I have several different issues/questions, at this point. I'm not sure if they belong in different threads, so I'll start here and hope to get guidance. 1) I have not found detailed instructions on how to use LeafSpy Pro.( I have tried using the Search function in this board, but had minimal...

I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while, on and off, thinking that a used Leaf could work for me, but, reading about all the battery uncertainty kept me from getting too serious. Buying a used Leaf is NOT easy! I am ready to engage the helpful folks on this forum, as I’m trying to get off...
