    REALLY!!! $200 gas tax.

I just read that New Jersey is now charging $1000 annually for BEV registration. I suppose California will be next!

Key fob - low battery - replaced it, no go.

Of course I meant a 2032. I'm not sure there even is such a thing as a 2035. See what happens when you get old? Thanks for catching this, everyone!

    Adventures in EV-land, part 1.

Yours looks exactly like mine, with the exception of the steering wheel being on the wrong side! My wife even named ours Scarlet. I do really like the wheels on yours - any indication of the manufacturer? Aftermarket wheels aren't common for Leafs, so I would love to know if yours are...

Key fob - low battery - replaced it, no go.

As I wrote on another post regarding key fob batteries, you might want to try replacing the 2025 with a 2035. Fits exactly, but has more capacity, so lasts much longer.

    Key Fob Weirdness

Incidentally, my 2019 SV+ has a key slot in the drivers door handle.

    Key Fob Weirdness

Amazing how these posts get off topic so quickly. Started off discussing key fob batteries, and got moved off to 12 volts. Doesn't anyone pay attention? At any rate, I note that it was mentioned that fob batteries were being replaced with 2025's. Why don't you put in a 2035? Fits perfectly...

2019 Nissan Leaf SV Battery Dead 40,000 miles

The only time I have ever had a problem with the 12 volt battery dying after not using the car for a few days was shortly after I got my Leaf Spy and left the dongle plugged in. Apparently the dongle uses enough juice to run the battery down all by itself if you don't drive the car every day or...

Lites flash 3 at a time and beeping at me

I was having this problem awhile back on my 2015 SV+ using a ChargePoint EVSE. Finally determined that the EVSE connectors were damaged. Everything worked fine on my home EVSE. Just another example of public EVSE units being unreliable.

extra 12v outlets and LEAF-to-HOME at the same time

If you click on the Fermata site, you will see a reference to V2H. But if you click on that to get more info, it takes you to their fleet (V2F) power sharing page. It appears they do not have an active V2H program available at this time. Again - if Wallbox has their Quasar unit fully available...

extra 12v outlets and LEAF-to-HOME at the same time

I was told when I purchased my 2019 SV+ 4 1/2 years ago that it had V2H capability, but that the local utility (PG&E) wouldn't allow the home unit necessary to utilize it because "they didn't trust it". I know that Wallbox has a home EVSE used in Spain which provides full V2H utilization, but...

Failed To Charge At Nissan Dealership

The only time I have been to a Nissan dealership in the 4+ years I have owned it was for a software update, and while it was there, I asked if they could give it a quick charge. They said sure, so I waited a half hour and then went to check on the status. I found they had it plugged in to a...

How often do you drive without ECO?

It's my understanding that B mode incorporates more regen than D mode. My car definitely slows more in B than it does in D, and the acceleration is not as quick, either. In order to use one-pedal driving, e-pedal is necessary to coordinate everything properly. Now that I am used to it, I can...

How often do you drive without ECO?

We have always left ECO on as well as driving in B range. I believe the tires will wear much better without using all the torque available, and since we are in a basically rural, low traffic volume area, we are not concerned with the amount of power available. I now find myself using E-pedal...

Leaf won't play nice with Chargepoint

This is the routine I use, except that I reverse steps 2 and 3. I will try it as you suggest next time. Incidentally, I plugged in to the CP unit last Sunday, and it started right up - no problems at all. Go figure!

Leaf won't play nice with Chargepoint

There are 8 dual-post stations at this facility, and 2 stand-alone. They are all low power Level 2 (6.2 aH). The connectors on some of the units will "click" in and lock when connected, while the others just slide in without locking. Doesn't seem to affect charging ability either way. I...

Leaf won't play nice with Chargepoint

Is anyone else having problems using Chargepoint? There never used to be a problem, but the other day I tried to use a Chargepoint facility that has 10 units that I have been using for more than 6 months. 4 of them were servicing Tesla's, and one had an Ioniq 5 - all being charged without a...

    iOS LeafSpy Pro Support

I don't know if your 2012 works any differently than my 2019, but I had a problem awhile back when we didn't drive the car for several days and the LeLink was plugged in. The 12 volt battery didn't hold enough charge to start the car. Apparently when the LeLink is left plugged in, it pulls...

    iOS LeafSpy Pro Support

I have an iPhone 10, running 13.1.3 (latest version). Trying to connect to an Llink OBD v.2. Your instructions say that I cannot connect through Bluetooth, yet I think I was able to do that a week or so ago. In trying to connect through WiFi, when I bring up Networks on the phone, it does not...

    Greetings from the Mother Lode

Hey, Calaveras! Glad to see someone nearby posting! I'm guessing you must live around Arnold, if you are gaining 1900 feet of elevation on your daily drive. I am in Columbia. To get to my house involves climbing 1000 feet in 2 miles, which takes about 12 miles off my range. I only gain...

Is it possible to bring up TPMS display just to check tire pressure?

As an addendum to my previous post, when I found the TPMS screen I was sitting in my driveway with the car not running. Once I started the car, I got a message on that screen that said "tire pressure will show once car begins moving". Sure enough, once I began driving, the tire pressures began...
