I'm done - they can have the car back.

OK, so Update #2. The buyback of the Leaf they could not repair went perfectly as did the purchase of the new Leaf from a dealer in MA. We've had it now for about 6 months and put about 4k miles on it. All is well - we love it and luckily I haven't had to take it in for Service.

I'm done - they can have the car back.

Just an update. The Nissan employee who "negotiated" my buyback could not have been nicer or more professional. I'm pretty much getting all my money back, including tax, dealer prep, shipping, etc. Didn't even have to get ugly, they offered a buyback before I asked for it. And yea - after...

I'm done - they can have the car back.

I just heard from Nissan "Customer Assurance" again. They have FINALLY setup an appointment for a service specialist to come to my dealer to look at the car . . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . on October 3 - almost a month from now. That will mean over 90 days of working on this problem and no...

I'm done - they can have the car back.

Thanks cwerdna, that's really interesting, and scary, information. I found quotes in the i-car site like "just 1 degree of misalignment of any part in front of or near the radar unit can cause a problem." Following a wreck, with repair by a dealer body shop that just doesn't work on many Leaf's...

    Emergency Braking System Malfunction

Did you ever get a resolution to this problem - ie how did they fix it. There are several people on this forum - myself included - who are having very similar problems in 2019.

2018 Nissan Leaf - Distance Sensor Malfunction

Tony, I wish you luck dude. I'm also in Georgia and I have exactly the same problem. It's been 56 days, 4 radar units, 1 bracket, 1 adas unit, countless manhours to test wiring harness and the problem still reoccurs. Sometimes we can drive the car for 3 or 4 days no problem and then it will...

I'm done - they can have the car back.

I really wanted to love this car. I really did. I was excited to own our first electric car. But, with 750 miles on the 2019 Leaf Plus we hit a deer. The car still had the dealer tags on it. It didn't even kill the deer - and just pushed a dent into the plastic bumper - and cost $6k to...

Better train your dealership EV techs

Brought my 2019 Nissan Leaf Plus and we were incredibly happy with it until, at 750 miles, a deer jumped out in front and dented the bumper. It didn't look like much - just pop out the dent in the plastic bumper right . . . . NOT. $6,000 and 36 days later we got our Leaf back. The LED...

The new Nissan Leaf is a better car than the Tesla Model 3?

For those that asked for pictures of the Jade Green with Grey interior - I'll take some when I get the car out of the shop. With 750 miles on it, a deer hit my wife on the front right. It didn't seem like that much damage but due to delays in getting parts for a 2019 Leaf Plus it has taken...

The new Nissan Leaf is a better car than the Tesla Model 3?

We just bought a new 2019 Leaf SL+. Before deciding we drove the Tesla 3, the Bolt and the Leaf. The wife and I both chose the Leaf, hands down. Every buyer looks for different things in a car. The wife and I are both retired (ie, of a certain age ;-)) We both have bad joints. We keep cars...
