    The perfect commute

Your mileage/commute is eerily similar to mine, but I've never got the GOM to align with actual mileage. We're even a couple of hundred miles of having the same odometer reading (16.6 commute, I have a 6 mile commute at 45 mph followed by 9 miles at 60-62 mph and then the last little bit is 55...

    2015: Battery Data Report @ 100% Charge

Your numbers mimic my own. I've owned my leaf for one year. I bought it CPO from a nearby Nissan dealer. Incidentally, it spent its first years in Buford, Georgia if I'm not mistaken. Mileage: 28,180 GIDS: 252 kWh 19.5 SOC 97.4 SOH 86.25 HX 76.72 AHR 53.56 Avg Temp 64.8 #QCS 24 My numbers...

I bought mine used, but I have to take into account the money I lost on the Volt.

    one year in....

The wife's car gets the garage, and mine does sit outside. I try to put the car in the shade when I can in summer, but car sits outside in winter. I did notice on a couple of occasions this winter, that for whatever reason, the range seemed to jump a bit, and the days were not particularly...

    one year in....

and in the year since I've owned my LEAF, that is what I've feared (reported SOh normally increases slightly)...but as long as I can keep 60ish miles as a known range for my driving needs, I'm ok with 11 or even 10 bars of range. I fear that I'm pretty close to losing a bar based on what I'm...

    one year in....

One year in (almost) on my new LEAF. I've driven around 13,000 miles, about 3000 or so from free charging. In that time, We've bought a Bolt, became an all EV car household, but wound up with a 150,000 mile Corolla as backup and are waiting on a Model 3. Not quite the normal EV journey as we...

    Chevrolet Bolt & Bolt EUV

My household is a Leaf/Bolt household, and we use the Leaf for all short range trips/trips where we can get a charge if needed for mid range trips. The Bolt has taken us on round trips of 300+ miles (we can go 250ish miles before real range anxiety sets in), and we definitely enjoy not stopping...

    Battery temperature maxed out

Just yesterday, the outside temp in my area was 96 degrees according to my car's thermometer. I drove it, added a few electrons near lunch time, to make sure I had enough power for the day and went about my business. I had a stop on the way home and lo and behold, 7 bars! When I first got the...

Anyone else out there constantly shifting between modes

I drive almost exclusively in B mode. Driving in B mode just feels more intuitive. As to the Bolt, they are available in Raleigh. We've had our Bolt for two months now (purchased in Cary NC), and we're an all in on EVs (no ICE cars in our house). One road trip in the Bolt to Myrtle Beach...

EV newbie, still shopping but I love the leaf!

Buy while EVs are cheap. Gas will go back up in the long run at some point and some of your money will be recovered.

    2015: Battery Data Report @ 100% Charge

This data mimics mine. I purchased mine on 2/25/17. After driving for five weeks, I got leaf spy (I'm still learning the ropes...). Mileage when purchased: 14,225 Date of reading: 4/1/2017 Mileage: 16,230 GIDS: 266 kWh: 20.6 SOC 97.4 % SOH 91% Hx: 85.96% Aha: 56.53 Not sure about avg...

    Charging Station Location

My charging station is inside the garage, and I have a small, 1/2 inch block that I put under the garage door to keep it from closing all the way. I put it in the center when the ICE car is parked, and the routine is that the block/cord is checked before the garage door is shut. The block is...

Does anyone have experience with a round trip >200 miles

Nice feedback. I'll take the QC charging advice...I've used that three times in the last two weeks, and the last time I got a charge of 93% (didn't keep check on time). Nice to know that I can be done with careful planning. Side note: When telling my dad (who is almost 70) of how carefully I...

Does anyone have experience with a round trip >200 miles

Two weeks in, and no buyer's remorse here! 32 miles round trip with a few round trips that exceeded over 100 round trip miles, but access to QC is available so no worries there. Now I'm itching to see if I can make a longer trip work. I live near Charlotte, and there is plenty of access...

Should I charge every night even if I don't need the range?

I've only had my leaf for a week as of 3/4/17. I've driven about 40 or so miles per day round trip, and will have the occasional 100 + mile trip with quick charging access when needed from a Nissan dealer. I too plug in every day with my L2 and haven't had time to fiddle with the charge timer...

a newbie's first experience with quick charging

Went on a round trip of over 100 miles today. My drive was a mix of city and highway driving with the highway driving speeds ranging from 45-55 mph speed limits. Drove to work: 17 miles; After work, drove approximate 41 miles (dropped off a family member at a nursing facility to visit...

    Advice for a newbie

Snot isn't a problem in the Charlotte region, while some winters we see morning temps dip into the teens, and occasionally the single digits, it is for a few days at at time and is not the norm. When we do get snow, it is gone quickly. Thanks for the reply.

    Advice for a newbie

It has an ECO switch on the steering wheel, and I can shift into D/B mode to drive. The regen in my old car when driving in L mode (Chevy Volt) was quite pronounced, and I like the way the car slows down when driving this way.
