    Driver Door Handle Problem

My 2015 SV just began having the same problem with the driver's side (most used) door handle. I will definitely try the JB Weld fix to secure the handle. This is the first "quality" issue we have experienced. Hopefully , this will be an easy fix. Thanks for starting this thread and for all...

    $200m to electrify 710 Freeway???

OPM Syndrome so prevalent in Sacramento --- "Other People's Money" What a spectacular waste of money. And it will be technologically dead before it is completed. By 2035-2040 electric cars will likely have ranges exceeding several hundred miles. Our grandchildren will wonder if legalizing...

Negotiating Extending 24 Month Lease to Qualify for CA Rebate

@Leftie - the problem is the original lease term must be 30 months or longer in CA to qualify for the various state/local rebates. I've wondered the same thing on why they would intentionally offer a lease term that precludes the lessor from qualifying for the rebates... But everything is...

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

It seems odd that there aren't a ton of 2014's showing up for auction/sale. I asked that question in a post, http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=23974 but I'm not sure people understood my question. There should be thousands, not hundreds of 2014's coming up for sale. I wonder...

Where are all the 2014 lease returns?

I'm very surprised that the market hasn't been flooded with 2 year (and soon 3 year) lease returns from the HUGE sales year that was 2014!! Nissan sold over 30,000 2014 Leafs, which is almost as many as 2012 (9,819) and 2013 (22,610) combined. What is Nissan doing with all the returned vehicles?

California Raises Gas Tax, Annual Fee for BEV

From what I understand the new legislation has a flat $100 Road Improvement Fee that will be imposed on zero-emission vehicles beginning in 2020 for model years 2020 and later.

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

My wife and I have a 2015 SV without the QC and don't miss it at all. I have the level 2 in my garage and that is where it has charged 100% of the time. There is only one QC station in our town - Bakersfield, CA (at the Nissan dealer) so even if we had a QC we would have never used it. The...

Can I put an SL Homelink mirror on an SV ?

I put one of the Gentex mirrors in my 2015 SV. It was super easy. I have mine hooked to switched power. That made the most sense to me. Good write up on the forum: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=18954&start=20 Great inexpensive addition to the SV. Good luck.

brand new 2016 SV upgrade questions

Khetos - I have a 2015 SV and would like to have the auto headlights, but haven't found a reasonable solution yet. However, a quick, easy and reasonably priced upgrade that I appreciate daily is the Homelink rear view mirror. I purchased one on eBay and installed it myself. It is very nice...

Need help with lease in Houston, TX

The only money the California dealers get directly is the Federal Tax Credit of $7,500. The purchaser gets the $2,500 rebate directly from the state. Additionally, some local air districts throw in even more money. I live in the San Joaquin Valley and they rebate another $3,000 directly to...

Finally works for me. The v4.0.1 wouldn't work for me, but after removing and re-installing this newer version it finally is working!

    Used 2013 SL questions

Jonny, You should be able to find a very clean 2012 SL in your area for < $10,000, perhaps even <$9,000. You would have plenty of battery warranty left to very likely get a replacement prior to the 60 month expiration of the warranty. $13,000 seems quite high and an extended warranty is...

Just bought a 2012 - hit 8 bars today -wait out the warranty?

@ceshell - can you trickle charge at work or is there a L2 charger nearby? That would certainly give you the necessary current range you need while extending the time needed for a battery replacement.

Help: Homelink mirror upgrade on 2015 model S

I upgraded my 2015 SV w/autodimming to a Homelink/autodimming mirror. These posts and pictures were extremely helpful. I purchased my Gentek41 on ebay for $75 delivered and it included all wiring, connectors and zip ties. Since my SV had switched power to the mirror already, I tapped into...

    Availability of used (off-lease) 2013s?

This is setting up to be a very interesting 2016/2017 for Nissan if the 2013's coming off lease have been "deferred" with the lease extension. This means that the deferred 2013's will then be coming off lease concurrent with the 2014's. There were 30,200 2014 model Leaf's sold compared to just...
