Interior charge port hatch latch/release handle broke

Can anyone point me to a reasonable replacement for this piece? The small charge port release handle near the hood release broke off when my wife tried to use for the first time thinking it required the same type of pressure as the hood release. Thank you!

Driver side window slow to close

First, thank you to all of you who read these and offer your advice! My driver side window has been slow and I thought it was a battery related issue, but I the passenger side window doesn't have any issue going up quickly. I am wondering if anyone has any idea as to why this is happening.

Safe to use battery maintainer on 12V?

Would anyone know of any issues in connecting a battery maintainer to the 12V? Car is only used for occasional short trips and the 12V is bit low, i have a very nice 12V battery maintainer that is supposed to bring the battery back to full capacity, I am wondering if there is any reason anyone...

Two congruent "pops" or punctures on rear fender corners

Thanks for your reply. Definitely not a bubble. Best way to describe it would be one claw of a small hammer put a gash about a half inch long but the metal underneath popped out where it was gashed. But being the way that one appeared in the exact same spot and position on the opposite...

Two congruent "pops" or punctures on rear fender corners

My ocean blue leaf is in mint condition and still looks great. Right underneath the red deflector on the rear fender a "pop" appeared. I thought that someone had taken and given it a tap with the claw side of a hammer. Its about the size of one of the teeth. Then today, the same exact...

Possible for dealer to cause an error remotely

My older model leaf is in mint condition and gets *extremely* light usage. No freeway, very low miles, always garaged and only used for a few small trips per week. After 4 years of never having an issue I contacted the local Nissan dealer to inquire about the battery warranty. My vehicle...

    Leaf Vs. Volt Maintenance

Is the gas generator aspect of the VOLT something that will require the maintenance of a regular car? Or is it more like the Leaf with all electric drive train etc that requires very little to no maintenance? Thanks again!

Manually releasing electronic parking break in trunk

Thanks for the responses, at this point hoping someone may have done this (i.e. used the tool in the trunk to manually release the parking brake) and they can chime in here about how many times they had to crank it and if once its released it stays released.

Manually releasing electronic parking break in trunk

Has anyone ever had to do this or can point me to a video of someone doing it with the 2012 Leaf? Hoping to get some reference, it seems easy enough following the instructions in the manual, but I turned it many, many times while it was pressed in and I heard it releasing in parts 3 times...

Info on Recall or reprogramming the 12V battery chrg schedule?

Can anyone point me to information on whether I am entitled to have my Leaf reprogrammed in terms of when it charges the 12V battery? I searched around the forums but couldn't find anything. From my understanding it charges on Thurs and Sunday or something to that effect, and this often...

clunk from battery area after climbing 2000ft (600m)

Sounds like a safety component in the emergency brake is releasing, possibly from no longer travelling uphill. I've heard that same noise a few times when I tried to take off too quickly after starting the car and releasing the emergency brake, where the brake didn't release and I had to...

Key Not detected issues (SOLVED.. battery not inserted correctly)

As it turns out I had inserted the battery upside down (due to having done it before and thought I'd remembered correctly) With new batteries it seems so far that my issues are solved. Thanks for all your help! Edit: Interestingly enough it wasn't until I replaced the battery with my other...

Key Not detected issues (SOLVED.. battery not inserted correctly)

The new battery was a new Energizer 2025 set of two. I just bought this second key fob from the Nissan Dealer in July of 2015. I wonder if there is a warranty on it as it costed almost $400.

Key Not detected issues (SOLVED.. battery not inserted correctly)

I believe there are two different indicator warnings, one that shows that the key battery is running low that has the first 1/3 black and the 2nd two third sections as white, and then another indicator warning that tells you that the battery in the key is being drained, as in its being subjected...

Key Not detected issues (SOLVED.. battery not inserted correctly)

Thanks for the response. Yes my second key fob works fine, it unlocks everything from outside the car and works normally. The other key stopped working completely even with a brand new battery like something was reset inside with the RMDI radio signals, as if the car did something as a...

Key Not detected issues (SOLVED.. battery not inserted correctly)

I researched this topic but didn't find a definitive answer, its really cold out and I am getting the "key is being discharged message", could that be due to low voltage in the dashboard? My main key was getting this and then wouldn't be detected at all (its been really cold and I know my 12V...

Possible to Jumpstart through the Cigarette lighter?

Does anyone know if you can connect a Power pack jumper using a DC Male to DC Male through the cigarette lighter adaptor to give enough power to jump? I know this would obviously not work with a regular ICE, but I've heard the Leaf only requires around 1/3rd the power to "boot up", wondering...
