Info Request: Federal Employees Charging at Work

Catching up to this thread. I work at NIH and own the red Leaf in the pics in the NIH article linked previously. Since these charging stations were installed in June, there has been a large increase in the number of EVs on the NIH campus. When the program started in June, there were about 5...

What became of the "LEAF TO HOME" Power the house Kit?

Yes, I left the car on ("Ready") so that the DC-DC converter was on, holding the accessory battery at 13V, and supplying power to the inverter. My fridge draws about 2 kWh over one full day, but others have posted that the Leaf uses a few hundred watts in Ready mode to run the converter...

What became of the "LEAF TO HOME" Power the house Kit?

Thanks for everybody's well wishes. Fortunately we were not hit hard, just an overnight power outage. I hope that others still affected by the storm are able to get back to normal soon. Here is a pic of my setup: More images available at http://goo.gl/p5SY1 The setup is basically as...

What became of the "LEAF TO HOME" Power the house Kit?

I just successfully used this proposed setup to power my fridge during a power outage due to Hurricane Sandy. I purchased a Xantrex pure sine wave inverter, 1000W continuous, 2000W surge, along with a pair of #2 AWG 18" leads. I connected the negative terminal of the Xantrex inverter to an...

    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

Bar #2 always seems to last a very long time, I call it the "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" bar. Not sure how that top bar lasted so long. Perhaps because I had recently pulled the car off the wire?

    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

Yes, very interesting comparison - thanks for lining up our numbers. Regarding my efficiency numbers - they are cumulative, not per bar. My efficiency was 5.8 for the total trip but 5.5 for the first 60 miles, implying about 6.1 efficiency for the last 60 miles. Also, the NAV displayed an...

    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

Thanks! I was just trying to beat 100 miles, and get as far as I could afterwards. I was very surprised that I did not hit turtle until 118.1. At that point I thought it would be great if I could make it to 120 miles. :) I headed home, coasted downhill for about 0.5 miles, and then drove...

    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

In this case I turtled at the top of a hill, so most of the distance from turtle to dead was coasting downhill to my driveway. But yeah, I don't plan to run to dead again.

FREE Chargepoint EVSE chargers in MD--PLEASE READ, DESPERATE

Where will the other 80 charging stations be located? This could help in determining the best place to locate the remaining 20 charging stations, although it sounds like willingness to sign a contract is more important than geography at this point. I agree that it would be ideal to locate...

    Celebrity owners

You would think so, but a while back the Government Accountability Office (GAO) issued a decision specifically for the Architect of the Capitol that it cannot use appropriated funds to install electric vehicle charging stations solely for use by employees for their personal vehicles; see...

    Tracking ships !

On the label attached to the window of the car there is a field called "Final Assembly Point" in the "Delivery" section. This is the label that includes MSRP, options, MPGe, etc. I believe that final assembly is done at the port of entry.
