Re: First Take: Nissan keeps 85% of EV Tax Credit Via Lease

THE FEDERAL TAX CREDITS FOR ALL NISSAN EVS ARE GONE AS OF 4/18/2023. THERE IS NO TAX CREDIT THAT NISSAN CAN PASS ON. Not for commercial use. And buying a car and leasing it to you is commercial use. An interesting loophole, eh? Very interesting loophole that I was not aware of. Thanks for educating...

Re: Tax Credit Question after April 18th 2023

TIL that Model 3 prices dropped and it looks like so have the Y. 3 now seems to start at $39,990 + $1,390 dest charge and that version is eligible for $3750 tax credit = $37,630. For qualifying buyers, that now shrinks the delta between a '23 Leaf SV+ MSRP and this to $495, not including tax and li...

Re: Tax Credit Question after April 18th 2023

So does the Leaf die now except for leased cars with the loss of tax credit and being significantly undercut by the Bolt. I think new leaf purchases will die for sure now that they effectively just jumped up $7,500. An SV Plus lists for about $38,000. A Teals Model Y AWD Sells for about$50,000 less...

Re: Tax Credit Question after April 18th 2023

I wonder what that will do to the price of used newer Leafs? Without competition from new leafs with potential of $7500 tax credit newer used leafs should go up in value.

Re: CarMax experience? '18 Leaf SV came w/o oem charger

Good Morning from sunny FL. New to owning a Nissan Leaf, but not new to the world of EVs (this is my third purchase!). Bought a gently used 2018 Nissan Leaf SV that had the 6.6kw onboard charger as OEM. Only when I took possession the charger did not come with the car, d'oh! Carmax says I can submi...

Tax Credit Question after April 18th 2023

I searched but can't find answer here. On the web I read that after 4/18 the Leaf won't qualify for the tax credit. What is the real deal? Will still qualify for full $7,500, qualify for the reduced $3,750 credit of loose all credits? Telsa announced that it will lose full creed for the standard ran...

Re: 2013 Nissan Leaf incompatible with Grizzl-e

Like others have posted here, my 2013 Nissan Leaf S (40kw battery pack from a ~2019) will not charge on my Grizzl-e charger. it worked once (after lots of weird beeping and errors) and continues to charge via the Nissan 110V charger. no errors from car. Grizzl-E get stuck in charging mode after the...

Re: What will my 2022 Leaf SL Plus bring in?

It’s been 1 month since I sold our 2023 Leaf SV Plus back to the dealer for $33,000. They have had it listed for $37,558 plus $999 dealer fee. That’s a crazy price for a used Leaf that’s not eligible for a tax credit. I wonder if they screwed up on my buyback offer. It’s now 2 months since I sold o...
