Re: New Feature: Automatic Charge Threshold

e having what I call an automatic charge threshold were i.e. if you have less than 15 miles or 10% SOC start charging to set maximum(80% or 100%). The values should be set by the user regardless of the charge timer setting. This would reduce the number of charge cycles and extend battery life also ...

Re: FS: Lease Take over 2012 Nissan Leaf SL

Why on earth do you remain on the lease if the person taking over has to pass a credit check? Given that many people give up leases due to financial problems, this seems doubly cruel. I just found out that the retirement statement upon which I based my decision to lease (because I couldn't retire ye...

Re: Jumping another vehicle

I haven't read all the posts her so this may have been covered. There is a device that lets you plug a cable into the accessory/cigarette lighter sockets of both vehicles, turn both ignitions on, wait ten minutes for the charge to transfer slowly, then start the dead ICE. We have them but haven't ha...

Re: Anybody else's XM trial end today?

How do you get the basic package? Do you tell them that you have no interest in sports, news, or talk radio, and then tell them what genres you like, or do you request specific stations?

Re: Anybody else's XM trial end today?

I only got a three month free subscription, and when I read the subscription costs in the mail I just got from Sirius/XM, I decided it will be a coupon code of some sort, or no renewal when it expired. At the beginning of this topic, people were getting subscriptions at $95 a year, which I could ta...

Re: Leaf vs Volt - The Final SHOWDOWN!

The Leaf is pretty good to 20 but after that it falls off quickly. Look at the published specs for a number of cars and you can see that many of them can beat it handily... Maybe it's 0-30MPH and not 40, but in any case the Leaf - even my 2013 - is far from "quite slow" off the line and f...

Re: Anyone into electric cycling?

I ride the E-bike with the best 'enjoyment to cost' ratio: the Currie EZIP Trailz. The 10AH OEM lead-acid pack was adequate for my needs because I want to pedal all the time, but for various reasons I replaced it with a 10lb (the OEM weighs 18lbs) Ping lithium pack with BMS. The bike has been unuse...

Re: Charging at work. Yay or Nay?

I can't even rely on a handicapped parking space being open for me, much less a slot with power. However, the only public charging station in Albany NY is 3.3 miles from my work, and it's free, so if I'm low on charge I can stop there on my way home, for 15 minutes.
