Re: New owners, get your next tires at a nice discount

33,000 miles on my OEM Michelins so far, they will easily go to 40,000 miles with the rubber left. Not sure why some are having accelerated wear? Thats great for OEMs! My OEM Ecopias didn't even make 20k before going bald :x but my Costco aftermarkets of the same tire are currently sitting at 40k a...

Re: Corrosion potential under the hood [post rodent?]?

Not as sure about other cars but the Leaf(I have a '13 and '12) are quite poor for stopping mice/squirrels. Both my Leafs have suffered squirrel infestations and suffered damage from I believe to be squirrels. but at one point thought was mice. In both cases, they entered the car on the passenger si...

Re: Key Battery

I also seem to recall it being said that if you store your FOB in close proximity to the Leaf it might also prematurely wear down the battery due to it and the Leaf periodically talking to each other.

Re: Key Battery

Same here, a 2032 just barely fits(because it's a bit thicker) but is the same price as a 2025 and has more than twice the capacity(life I've found).
The first time or two it's kind of hard to squeeze the covers back together but after that, it's easy peasy.

Re: "Here Come the Family EVs", Another WSJ article

There was just one large, seven-seat electric SUV on sale in the U.S. for model years 2022 and 2023, according to research firm J.D. Power: Mercedes-Benz’s EQS, priced at about $105,000. A few plug-in SUVs that J.D. Power categorizes as midsize also have a third row, including Rivian’s R1S and Tesl...

Re: News about Juicebox. Posting here to make sure folks are aware....

I have a Juicebox pro with a black cylindrical(like 1/3 of a tube) AU case. It has a tiny wireless remote to make adjustments. The display is a small color dot matrix type, maybe 1"X1"? I haven't really used it in years as I have lots more portable lighter EVSEs but last time I used it, it...

Re: Tesla to J1772 Adaptor

Re: charging infrastructure supporting NACS

So you are saying newer Teslas still come with the J1772 adapter? I guess I thought the adapter was dropped with newer model S's and all other Teslas to save costs but maybe that was just the CHAdeMO adapter that was now optional.... I guess if all new cars with NACS come with a J1772 adapter that w...

Re: charging infrastructure supporting NACS

So I've been reading up on the NACS standard and is this just for QC? I mean I sure hope they don't do away with the J1772 standard I have on all my EVSEs! If they do ditch J1772 what's going to happen to all the J1772 EVSEs in both residential and commercial locations? I personally could care less ...
