Welcome. The range estimator uses more than just battery capacity to estimate range. It also uses recent and past driving efficiency, which vary. I'll add that because WD-40 is a solvent but not a permanent lubricant, the terminals should be greased when reconnected.

That's what I was thinking as well. Tesla's dominance of the market means that surveys like this will mainly reflect the good and bad points of Tesla.

Even those who don't need the lighter accelerator pedal usually benefit from the restricted maximum heater draw (5kw IIRC) in colder weather.
