Re: 2023 40 kWh Leaf Optimal Charge Level

To the best of my recollection, all of the Leaf trim levels will use an end time only to time a charge if that is all they get. The Gen II models (possibly excepting the S) also let you set a default rule of whether or not to start charging to ensure a full charge regardless of the times entered.

Re: Hello...might become Leaf owner...but need help.

The 2015-2016 24kwh packs, which do not suffer from the same premature degradation as the 30kwh pack, have a 5 year, 60,000 warranty, as do most if not all 24kwh Leafs.

Anything is possible, but I've never heard of an 8 bar Leaf that stopped charging the 12 volt battery because of the degradation...

Re: 79% charge limit / CarWings / ConnectEV app

There is also the Climate Control Monkey option: train someone in your house to run out to your car on command and turn it on for you. My housemate will do that for me, within reason.

Re: Bits & Pieces

I tried to explain that this is the exception for cases where avoiding physical damage is the situation, not mandated conduit, but trolls on a rampage don't always read so well. Anyway, back in the filter with that one. If he continues with this behavior, let me know. Life is too short, as they say....

He has to derate the wire ampacity to 80% from the 90C column for THHN because he is running 4 - 6 current carrying conductors in conduit. If you are going to randomly berate people for random reasons, at least try to get your facts straight. I ran one 10-3 (+G) cable and one 12-2 (+G) cable. That'...

Welcome. Yes, that's a standard 12 volt starting battery. If you plan to keep the car, I suggest replacing it with a 12 volt automotive AGM battery, as they are more robust.
