Re: 100 thousand miles and still going strong.

I just passed +73K on my 2020, at this rate, should hit +100K next year. So far so good, only had to change tires and windshield washer fluid :D

Re: 12V battery went "bad" after VCM recall?

Welcome. If you live in a Hot or Cold climate, then four years isn't unusual. It would be a little soon if your climate is mild. I agree that they may have managed to run the battery down during the update, but that may be hard to prove. Hard to prove and also a death blow to an aging SLA unfortuna...

Re: Molykote M77 for axle click fix

- I am ready to do this same thing - The noise been very annoying, perhaps after I remove and check the front/rear brake pad ( sparkling new at 120k miles ) ... dont know if I loose anything, but wheel remove/torque so I don't think anything loose since . Anyone who done this, is this solve the fro...

Re: CHAdeMO

I feel the same way. ChaDeMo was just a published protocol that was open. Anyone can download the tech documents for it and create a charging station if they really wanted to (over simplifies the complexity, yes I know). For reasons we all know ($$$), no one else wanted to work with it. Then countri...

Re: Extension cords

From personal experience with a family member. Back in 2015, a family member bought a new 2015 Leaf. They only had the EVSE that the Leaf comes with (120V model) before I helped them install a 240V EVSE months later. While using the 120V EVSE, they had a garage with an outlet, external type since th...

Re: Extension cords

As already mentioned earlier, extension cords are discouraged because they introduce extra points of failure. If you are well versed in eletronics and the science of electricity, then you can make a better determination of the risk, but not everyone that reads this public forum is. That's why I woul...

Re: deciding between 2021 vs 2020 SV Plus

The brakes may or may not be lower quality on the '21. What is certain is that they feel much weaker. I've had my '21 start to slip forward with my foot on the brake while stopped, and normal braking requires noticeably more pedal effort. This alone would have been a deal breaker for me - had I kno...

Is this a state rebate? I thought the Leaf only qualified for rebates when new? I know the new Leafs have no tax rebate currently until something changes?

Re: EV & Services App, SOS Button SV-Plus 2020

Hi all, purchased a 2020 SV-plus last month. I downloaded the EV & Services app, went through the 3 days or so it took to get it running. First use: Aug 20, worked for a few hours...and hasn't since. Still shows vehicle status from 20 Aug, iPhone msg from the app says "update failed, try a...

Re: Large parasitic draw on 12v system after windows left open in rain storm

Two full days of a good battery, and disconnecting every plug in the doors and center console didn't result in any changes. I'm out of ideas at this point (Other than hooking a toggle switch up to the SSOFF relay to easily shut it down). I did purchase a salvage BCM for $75 on ebay. It seems like t...
