    Battery pack heat pads installation

I bought a kw meter and at -22 C, the thermo cube had never stopped the circuit. 300 watts is low heat on such a large battery. So 300 watts for 12 hours at about 8 cents per kwh was about $0.29 for that night. It cost less than a heated garage for me. I bought a bluetooth odbii elm327 last...

    Battery pack heat pads installation

Sorry for late reply. It is easy to remove the plastic battery covers. Bolts all around. Heat dissipates on the metal battery casing. Casing not hot when they activate. But they do activate at low temp of 0F. And shuts down at 10F. I never tried at summer temps. You can try a air dryer of 1500...

    No Heat

I would agree with you but in the winter time (Canada here), lower kilo-watt means lower car temp. There is a direct link between the two. After complaining about heat, my local Nissan dealer service supervisor informed me that some Leaf owner have returned their cars thinking that the car does...

    No Heat

To the op, did you know that on D (drive) the heater follows the temperature You have set. But in Eco mode, it follows some preprogrammed temperature. I tried many times to drive in D and in Eco. Going into the battery status display , the car would go from 4.5 kW heating in D to less than 3...

Leaf - Lowest Temperature Reading this Winter

For mynameisjim, I also saw lower power at below -27c for an example. That maximum speed on the highway was 105km/h (about 64 mph). Once you are at no bar, you do not know how cold the battery is. My car is outside year-round.

Canada - stinking cold winter coming

180 watts could be enough but the fact of heating from one central point, I am not convinced that the cells would be heated evenly

    electric bill shock

My last electrical bill was up by about $100. I live in Quebec and I was in Florida for 3 of the weeks of that time. So the explanation is that last year, it was warm for that period. This year it was windy and very cold. Home heating is the culprit. Yes last year the car was not charging , but...

Gee, you busted my bubble so rapidly , you are right. Thank you for that reality check. A plug in the trap will be, then.
