Adding Receiver to New 2018 Leaf.

AWESOME!! good luck! It's really not too bad, I spent a lot of time trying to position the camera on a crappy phone tripod.. You don't have to remove the bumper or anything, which is nice.

Tried to take a pic of this, hard to do this with one hand, but i think you get the idea :D

Adding Receiver to New 2018 Leaf.

I have the 1 1/4" hitch, so from the ground it's 9.25" to the bottom, 11.25" to the top... of the square hitch.... and then 26" from the ground to the chrome trim at the top of the rear bumper below the liftgate. So subtracting, looks like around 14 3/4" from the top of the hitch... If I put...

2018 leaf apple carplay is SLOW after ios 13 update

BLEH, anyone find a real fix to this? My iPhone7 worked flawlessly even with IOS 13.. for 1.5 years on my 2018 LEAF, but this iPhone 11 Pro is having all sorts of issues, it takes multiple tries to connect. Apple recommends resetting the phone, i guess i'll try that after i back up again...

    Winter Tires

I was looking at winter tire packages and wheel and the 2018 LEAF is not a model that supports the configurator... But yes, I can select the 2018 LEAF going into Parts and Accessories -> TPMS, but it's still $59.00 for me :-)

    Winter Tires

@Leftiebiker, How do you see $29 for TPMS on Tirerack, when I price out a wheel, the TPMS is $55 each. Plus, since i can't specify a 2018 LEAF, it would automatically get a 315Mhz unit when I'm shopping configured with a 2017. I plan to call them next week and see if they can sell me a 433...

    Winter Tires

The wheels should have the size imprinted on it somewhere... maybe on the inside of behind the spokes.. If you have that you can put those numbers into the calculator to know for sure.. You're not going crazy with the sizes so as long as it doesn't rub the suspension, it should be fine.

    Winter Tires

You can use a site like this to compare: https://www.willtheyfit.com/ I believe the 2018 LEAF SL wheel is a 17x6.5 +45 and a Juke wheel is 17x7 +35 ... If I put in the same tire size of 215/50/17 on both, it comes out... > Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim...

    Winter Tires

If i search 2018 Nissan Leaf Steel Wheel, there's a bunch of results , even Walmart from 3rd party.. But not sure what the costs are shipping to Canada. Are most people are running 205/55/16 when they downsize from 17" -> 16" rims?? The 2018 17" on my SL came with 215/50/17... so using the...

    wait for 2019 leaf?

Things are always going to get better as the new models come out, the BMS concern was something that went through during my decision making.. but at the end, the incentives for the 2018 LEAF was good enough for me to jump on it. Yes, they might increase the incentive, but more likely they won't...

Winter tires/wheels from Tirerack for 2018

Thanks for the info! Did they install the TPMS sensors on it?

Winter tires/wheels from Tirerack for 2018

Was looking for this too and didn't know why TireRack didn't offer any combos for the 2018 Leaf, good to know the reason... Anyone know why the S model (with the 16s") isn't the same diameter as the SV and SLs (With the 17s?) .. (24.8" vs 25.4" if i calculated it right)... Is that not enough...

    wait for 2019 leaf?

I just purchased my 2018 4 weeks ago taking adv of that extra 3k incentives Nissan is pushing until 9/30, I don't need more than 150 mile normally, so this fit the bill for me. Keep in mind that pricing will probably be higher with the 60Kwh battery option. The 60Kwh Battery with improved BMS...

    Winter Tires

JoeC, I'm in the same boat, Just got my 2018 LEAF 5 weeks ago and Love it!! Looking for some snow tires to put on it. Tirerack doesn't sell a steel rim/tire combo yet, but I was considering to put on 16" steels rims + snow tires. You can do this without affecting the speedometer as long as...

Adding Receiver to New 2018 Leaf.

I just got the 2018 LEAF a month ago and installed the Torklift ECO hitch on it, for my bike carrier. Very straight forward, but forgot to install the front bolt, so I had to remove the cover again... Created a video of the process. Hope it helps anyone out there on the fence...
