I just had same problem and it ended up being corrosion on heating harness. Cost me $200 to toe to dealership and $600 repair bill. said it would have been $3200 for new harness but luckily the repaired corrosion.
They called yesterday and the corrosion repaired and car ready to go. It was a $600 repair bill. I do not know specifics but will pich the car up Mar. 1 when I return from Florida. I will look at repair details and report the problem on the forum
I keep it in the garage but that is possible. That is very possible. My wifes Lincoln isalso in the garage now so I am going to have my neighbor set some traps
No, and the only thing my car did was it would not shift into D or R it would go to Neutral.. They called me yesterday with this diagnosis but have not heard from them as of today. Maybe that was not the problem and did not fix it. It is the Nissan dealership and they did not tell me the code...
Thanks, from what I read it is mainly preventative maint. such as rustproofing and occasionally taking off bottom panels to remove moisture, ect. Seems like more than I want to tackle just to own a EV. Poor engineering. My son is a thermodynamic engineer for Space X then he moved to Blue Origin...
They wanted $600 to try to repair or $3600 to totally replace. Am waiting for them to call if they can repair. They said they would give me a break if it needed whole new harness
Ended up having car towed to Nissan dealer and it was corrosion on the heater harness. Very expensive repair on top of battery I purchased thinking maybe that was the problem.
