    Higher Ground Clearance

It looks like exact 6 inches of ground clearance would work perfect for most people out there. But, it is unlikely that Nissan would listen to people's opinions or needs here. With 6 inches you could freely roam anywhere you like, even decent quality dirt roads without extremely large pot holes...

    The Air Car?

Yeah, it looks like this great option has been scrapped and will soon be forgotten unless we people keep our voices high about it and continue to display our discontent .... But, imagine the possibilities with compressed air and a dirt cheep running cost...

    Solar Panels

I think it would be nice to have a whole roof side covered in solar cells, but not only for cooling down the cabin, would be nice to choose what we wanna do with that extra power; either cool the cabin or direct it into batteries, a little extra juice won't hurt

    Latest LEAF Video

Thanks Jess, that was impressive video for sure. Without valves, cylinders and all other engine compartments I'm wondering what kind of yearly maintenance will be required, if any lol... Nissan really rocks with this technology, driving Prius will be too expensive comparing to the LEAF

    Higher Ground Clearance

Yeah wxxyz, know what you mean about the range (fuel economy) being longer with chopped ground clearance, but i still hope they could do something about it and give us an extra inch or so of ground clearance not only to safely clear the speed bumps but also take your family on a short trips...

    Standardisation or Bust!

Evguy, misuse of a battery pack can become evident after years of charge and discharge cycles. So, let's assume you buy your new nissan leaf with a brand new pack and swap it for a one that has been for number of reasons been abused, left outside in the sun or who knows what other misuse...

    Pricing

With all my passion for the Leaf and my money ready to pay for this beauty in cash, I will refuse to buy it if the batteries go on lease, even if it's cheaper than gasoline... Leasing the batteries will simply be just another way to keep the monopoly and control over drivers while milking their...

leaf power is comparable to gas vehicles

Yeah Prius, know what you mean about sacrificing the interior space with extra batteries. 100 mile range should do it for an every day commute of about 70km. Me and my wife have already registered on a pre-waiting list (in Japan thou) to get this beauty as soon as the first one becomes...

    Introduction!

Dear Jessica, Your appearance on this forum could be an encouraging thing, however, I don't want to be rude but the official Nissan website that you gave us hasn't been much helpful at all. We are talking about http://www.nissanusa.com/leaf . They promise to answer your question but they only...

    Higher Ground Clearance

Dear Nissan, so many people have had a bad experience with their honda insights and priuses at speed bumps when a car is fully loaded with four or five adults. Hopefully Nissan Leaf will have between 6 and 7 inches (about 16cm) of ground clearance so that we could drive comfortably in deeper...

    Annoying warning chime for pedestrians!

Howdy Sir, Recently this annoying chime has been one of the topics for new hybrids and EV's in order to protect pedestrians?! Is this really necessary and what kind of warning chime sounds are we to expect in future from nissan leaf?

Battery endurance for every day commuting

Hello Nissan representative, me and my wife are wondering if the range capacity of maximum 160km per charge will remain after years of everyday commute of about 70km? And if the battery's capacity will decline with frequent usage what kind of decline are we talking about, say after4-5 years...

Why official US nissan page sucks so much?

They urge you to ask any question on their front page and they promise an answer within a reasonable time frame. I asked at least 3 questions starting 2 months back and never got an answer posted. This is their page: http://www.nissanusa.com/leaf-electric-car/#/car/index So, try it for yourself...
