I had a defective module replaced by Nissan under warranty and would describe how they handled it “excellent” rather than “criminal”. I wrote it up here on the forum.

Yeah; that was my plan if Nissan declined to cover it under warranty. Buy a module from a wrecked late 2014 or 2015 and replace the defective module.
