Yep. SageBrush was spouting off again...
It seems that our resident physician (and everyone else here) is completely ignorant of the important interaction between measles disease and the human immune system: Measles acts like a "reset cache" button for the immune system, causing it to...
No, I'm not. You are demonstrating how ignorant physicians can be about their own field. The fact that you are a physician has no bearing here. You have not produced a single bit of medical data to support your assertions. I have. Immunologists are taught in graduate school that MMR gives...
What's not funny is how people spout off about things they haven't done the least bit of research about.
Prove it.
When actual medical research has been done on outbreaks of measles in schools, the results indicated that most of the individuals who contracted measles were vaccinated:
In...
If you understood that, DUE TO THE MEASLES VACCINE, *most* Americans are NOT immune to measles, then you would not be surprised by outbreaks. These outbreaks are not caused by "anti-vaxers", but rather they are the simple result of the fact that vaccination does not result in lifetime immunity...
Classic: SageBrush makes authoritative statements about a topic he knows nothing about.
Measles vaccinations *has* virtually eradicated measles in the U.S. OTOH, measles vaccination has *reduced* the herd immunity of the adult population in the U.S., thus making the *only* truly-at-risk...
It seems you have missed the point. The point of claiming zero transmission losses is NOT to save 7%. The reason they claim zero transmission losses is to address the geography problem, which is a very big problem, indeed. IOW, generation does not happen when/where demand occurs.
You are welcome!
I recommend SolarEdge equipment without reservations, including safety.
While that is true, according to this link, both 400 VDC and 240 VAC (which only gets 120 VAC from ground) are capable of causing ventricular fibrillation (thresholds given are 200 VDC and 40 VAC).
Here is...
I should be more clear: DC PV systems are much more dangerous than AC PV systems. There are many reasons for this, some of which you have already mentioned. First, let's start with what is the same:
- In both types of systems, the AC voltages are the same: 240 VAC split-phase here in North...
Simply put, DC is much more dangerous than AC, both in terms of a shock hazard and as a fire hazard. SolarEdge has done a lot to make it safe in their system, but the regulations had already been put in place due to issue with prior technologies.
I agree that microinverters are the better...
Since Norway is way out front in terms of plug-in penetration rates, perhaps it gives a glimpse of what to expect elsewhere in the future. InsideEVs reports on the impact in March of Tesla Model 3 deliveries, but it is clear from their graph where things were headed much earlier (BEVs: Yellow...
You're welcome!
They are both good options, IMO. A good friend of mine just chose to install the PowerEdge system for his house over the objections of his installer who was pushing microinverters, partly because of my recommendations. While he didn't purchase the PowerEdge central inverter...
What's wrong with that?! It's one of my favorite excuses!
The roof where I installed my PV panels has a fake gable. I left it there because I was unwilling to tackle the project and because it looks kinda purdy. But it takes the space of about 5 PV panels that could have been up there...
