time to move on from 2014 S

Like Mick Jagger sang, "Ti-i-i-ime, is on my side, yes it is!" :P

time to move on from 2014 S

Cars on that site are running more than 3x what dealer offered me for my Leaf. Easy. I've been checking prices in this region for 2013-2015 Leaf S with similar mileage. Range is generally $6,500-$8000. I figure those listed at dealership are inflated by around 100%. Now I'm sure my car is worth...

time to move on from 2014 S

Very good condition, perhaps excellent. No accidents or damage in or out. No corrosion. Tires a few years old, will have to check. Older Android phone so no LeafSpy. Always want to check that! Black car. I just sent pics including dashboard to dealer.

time to move on from 2014 S

I've had lots of luck with my 2014 S with charge package. Incredibly low maintenance costs. Still has 10 bars capacity. GOM recently read 86 miles at full charge. I've saved tons of money driving it. But like most folks, need a bit more range. It's in very good shape with 74,000 miles. One...

faults with CHdeMO plug at Electrify America station

Agreed with more CCS plugs. I just did a chat with EA. CHAdeMO is on an EVSE with a CCS plug. The app says "in use". Rep says CHAdeMO plug is down for maintenance. Obviously the app is highly misleading.

faults with CHdeMO plug at Electrify America station

The Electrify America site on my commute has been having ongoing issues with its one CHAdeMO plug. The station has one CHAdeMO and six CCS plugs. Over the past month or so the CHAdeMO works for a few days, then goes down, up, down. Anyone know why this might be? Heard of a similar situation...

need to do weekly 90 mile drive in 2014 S

Yes I have. Best I could find was around $1000 per month. And I have additional costs on my travel. I'm doing the 90 mile drive, a train trip, and then a rental to ultimate destination. All out of pocket. It's quite the challenge. Then, still, I need to do that 90 mile drive on occasion to visit...

need to do weekly 90 mile drive in 2014 S

I recently moved from western MA to southern DE. Charging infrastructure in this region is severely lacking. It's a charging desert here, and many DCQC units are broken. As an example, there are three in Ocean City Maryland, each one busted. Same with two in northern DE. Most importantly, the...

Chargepoint charger additional fee of $1 per minute

I just called Chargepoint again. The rep, after speaking with a manager, said the station owner sets the rate. A $1 per minute overuse fee that kicks in after just 5 minutes? Total cost over $2.20 per kWh? Solid knowledge base at work there.

Chargepoint charger additional fee of $1 per minute

The Chargepoint DCQC at Winner Hyundai in Dover, Delaware has been hitting me and at least another user, over the past week, a fee of $1 per minute that is in addition to the normal charge per kW of energy delivered. This fee starts after 5 minutes of charging. Prior to this the fee started...

need to do weekly 90 mile drive in 2014 S

This sound like good advice. Please see my reply to Drew21 above. My biggest challenge will be charging at the level 2 at destination, given that I won't have time to plug/unplug. Maybe I'll "lend" the car to family who live near destination, to disconnect, use it, and then leave it there with...

need to do weekly 90 mile drive in 2014 S

It will be 90 miles early (5 am) on Tuesday, then 90 miles back late (9 pm) on Thursday evening. There is a DCQC just short of midway and a L2 just past midway. Even before weather cools, I think I'll save time and use the DCQC for ~20-25 minutes to get enough juice to reach destination. I...

need to do weekly 90 mile drive in 2014 S

I need to make a 90 mile highway drive in early morning and late evening once a week for the next 12 weeks. My 2014 S with Quick Charge Package has held up well. Has 72,000 miles, 10 bars capacity, and GOM today read 86 miles. Cooler weather may be coming soon, or it may not. My options...

    idle EVs at free chargers

I suppose I just find leaving a car plugged in when full to be rude. From my experience, EV drivers at Boston airport park, plug in, and fly away. Well past time that I sell my 2014 Leaf.

    idle EVs at free chargers

I appreciate the suggestion. I'll get one. However, I believe this assumes that the offending owner has not locked the plug into the vehicle, and that there is ample space to park without being in a fire lane, blocking traffic, etc. I wouldn't be comfortable doing this and walking away to grab a...
