    2nd Year Service

Just had my 2-year service completed at Mossy Nissan Oceanside today. The multi-point inspection and EV battery report were free as usual. From my invoice, 24-month service cost $179.95 parts and labor, and consisted of: - Brake fluid flush - in-cabin microfilter replaced - tires rotated...

    1 year service

So, in the last 24 hours after retrieving my LEAF from the dealer, I discovered that (1) charge timers were turned off and (2) Bluetooth was turned off, probably the result of default settings after the firmware update. No big deal, but since I last touched these settings about a year ago, it...

    1 year service

I went in for my 1 year service today as well, at Mossy Nissan Oceanside. 6580 miles on the odometer. I dropped it off at 8am and got a call around noon that the service was completed and I could pick up my LEAF. When I got there, my car was washed and vacuumed and I learned that the service...

Power Fault error - big red screen

My problem appears to have been resolved finally, but only after they replaced my Blink EVSE. I was getting power faults every few days, with the occasional circuit breaker trip on my house panel. Field support arrived on 2/14 and replaced the Blink, no problems since then.

Power Fault error - big red screen

Tom, based on this topic thread and others, I would suspect one the following (not necessarily in this order): - Grounding issue - Defective circuit breaker - Defective wiring - Defective Blink - Power line anomalies from SDG&E utility company It's interesting however that the Blink support...

Power Fault error - big red screen

My Blink power faulted again early Thursday morning, and this morning the circuit breaker on my main panel tripped, for the first time since the unit was installed last spring. No charge on the Leaf, so I can only assume that the breaker tripped as the charge was being initiated (by the Leaf...

Power Fault error - big red screen

Blink updated to 1.8 a few days ago. Power faulted last night.

Power Fault error - big red screen

My Blink just updated itself to 1.7 firmware today. Based on what I've heard on this forum, my power fault issues are not over yet. :|

Nissan Leaf 2011: 6th Month Service, $19.95 at Fremont, CA

Just had 6-month service done at Mossy Nissan in Oceanside. Basically $19.95 for the tire rotation and a complimentary multi-point inspection. Carlos the service advisor joked that i was a little low on gas so they topped off the tank for me. Oh, and they washed the car, too. So, why bother...

Power Fault error - big red screen

Someone from Ecotality came out last week and swapped out the SD card. So at the moment my Blink is running 1.6 firmware again. There were the usual startup issues getting connected to wifi, but it seems to be behaving OK otherwise. No power faults so far, anyway. Not surprisingly, I did...

Power Fault error - big red screen

I just experienced the orange screen and power fault error (is this the Blink equivalent of Microsoft Windows' blue screen of death?) yesterday morning. This is the second time it's happened, and the first time the Blink was locked up and I had to unplug it to recover. Don't recall having this...

CA AB475 requires connection to the EVSE to avoid cite/tow

Slow implementation or not, the existence of the law may be enough to stall plans for adding public charging infrastructure. Don't need to enforce what you don't have, so for some businesses that will be the most economical alternative.

CA AB475 requires connection to the EVSE to avoid cite/tow

Well, maybe just obvious for the topic of this thread, I hope, and while my statement is certainly not a complete picture of what needs to be fixed in our EV eco-system, it's not just "happy talk" either. I've written my letter to the Governor, expressing my concerns about AB 475. I think...

How Much Would You Be Willing To Pay For An L3 Charge?

I like the vending machine analogy. Under certain circumstances, I would happily pay $10 to get an L3 charge to 80%, but not always. Convenience and location will play a major part in how these quick charge stations are used and how the service should be priced.

CA AB475 requires connection to the EVSE to avoid cite/tow

Hopefully I am only restating the obvious...
