I got this same message, and it turned out that the unit had to be rebooted by (1) unplugging it (make sure the unit is NOT plugged into your vehicle), (2) waiting at least 1 minutes, and (3) plugging it back in. According to the service rep the Blink unit sometimes has trouble getting back on...
