Is Level II home charger included?

I’ve owned 8 EVs since the first Leaf in 2015. (5 Leafs, 2 Teslas 1Ford Lightning) I keep a mobile L1/L2 EVSE in every car in case needed when away from home. In our Home Garage I had a Hard Wired L2 EVSE installed in 2015 and this year replaced it with a Tesla Wall Connector that can charge...

    charging infrastructure supporting NACS

I’ve owned 5 Leafs from 2015-2023 model years. I currently own 2 Tesla Model Ys and now a Ford Lightning. . Tesla NACS makes EV road trips easy. We really like the Teslas but not the man. CHAdeMO and CSS is a joke compared to Tesla NACS for simplicity, ease, reliability and availability...

    Tesla Supercharger Network

My Experience with Tesla chargers in Florida Gas Stations is very positive. I've utilized the WaWa gas stations charging my Teslas multiple times. The chargers are plentiful and normally in the back of the parking lot. Access to the WaWa store through the back door is convenient. The rest...

    Leaf was my "Gateway Drug"

Thanks for the invitation. We live in East Bradenton and have a remote cabin in Ft Drum about 25 miles north of Okeechobee. The EVs are a perfect fit to commute between the properties. We bought our Ford Lightning from Weikert Ford in Lake Wales. Great experience. Searched inventory at...

    Leaf was my "Gateway Drug"

After 7+ years and 5 Nissan Leafs my wife and I graduated to a stronger addiction We now have 2- 2023 Tesla Model Y's and a of yesterday we also have '23 Ford Lightning Lariat w/Extended Range Battery. For sure we will miss simplicity of the Leaf and appreciate Nissan introducing us to EVs...

    2021 SV+ W/TECH & $4000 Tax Credit

This Leaf is a good deal if one qualifies for the tax credit. I owned a 2019, 2020 and 2023 60kWh battery leaf in Florida. Battery degradation was minimal. If this car was closer I would buy it and give it to my Grandson or even buy it as a spare.

    2021 SV+ W/TECH & $4000 Tax Credit

Mark, Your car looks really nice and it’s priced right with the $4k tax credit. If you were in Florida I would have bought it as a spare. Just 4 months ago I was looking for just this kind of deal. This won’t last long. Good luck with the sale.

Why do "some groups" bad mouth EVs?

As a 5 time Leaf owner and a current 2x Tesla owner I constantly get negative comments about EVs from certain politically leaning uninformed people. It drives me crazy For Example, comments I've heard just this year: I wouldn't by an EV because of how much the battery cost to replace every 3...

    Tesla charging comparison

We upgraded our Leaf to a Tesla model Y. We normally charge the Tesla to 80%. My wife had to drive the 125 mile from cabin to house for emergency dentist appt today. We can just make it both ways with 80% barge. We have a 60 amp Wall Charger hard wired to 60 amps at home that outputs 48...

Any experience with insurance value for totaled Leaf?

Let me add, uninsured motorist coverage in Florida only covers medical bills. Our collision coverage paid for the car damage.

Any experience with insurance value for totaled Leaf?

Our insurance company put, State Farm, treated us very well when an uninsured driver t-boned us and totaled our 2 year old leaf. They paid us enough to buy a new one for about $5000 less but after factoring in $7500 tax credit we came our $2500 ahead. Of course there’s no tax credit any more...

Embarrassed myself with rented Nissan eleaf

The OP was probably confused and overwhelmed. The rental company should have spent some time going over the basics. After owning Leafs since 2015 we were T-boned in November 2020 in our 2019 Leaf at the time. The car was totalled. We were hit directly on the the passenger door. All airbags...

    charging infrastructure supporting NACS

But Tesla owners currently can not only use NACS for fast charging but can use CSS for DC fast charging and NACS or J1772 for L1 or L2 destination chargers with supplied adaptor. After having lived with J1772 and CHAdeMo with our Nissan leafs for 7 years and now having a Tesla there is no...

WSJ Rumble Seat, "Thank Tesla: The Biggest Obstacle to EV Ownership Will Soon Be History"

The Tesla slim NACS plug compared to a bulky CSS is night and day better. The Tesla slim NACS will do L1, L2 or DC L3

    OEM charge cable compatibility

The Nissan OEM EVSE are very robust. After selling my Leaf I sold the 2 extra 296M1-5SA0A NISSAN EVSEs on eBay for $329 each. I see there is one for sale now on ebay from a seller with 100% positive feedback for $325 + $20 shipping. I have no relationship with this seller, I'm just posting to...
