Just a quick update, the dealer supplied module is now in, and the brake still doesn't work, they believe a new actuator is needed. I've seen a price of $700 quoted, so makes me think it will actually be about £2,000
I'll let you all know what happens next...!
Bit of an update for anyone interested. I ordered the part from the USA, fitted it in my car, couldn't reset the codes in leafspy. Trundled off the dealer, they cannot reset the codes/set up the module. Consult said "incorrect control unit or model year"
So it looks like I have no option now...
I had tried resetting the codes with Leafspy but it either wasn't able to do it, or the code was re set instantly.
I managed to get the faulty unit out ok, but I can understand your warning, there's lots of potential for HV danger in that hump...
A quick update for you, Nissan GB have changed the pricing for this part, it is now only $1,322
I've ordered the part from the USA so it should be here within a week or so. Does anyone know from the service manual whether I can simply fit the new module and it will work right away, or...
I rarely use it myself, but unfortunately leaving it is not an option. Our annual MOT inspection checks the parking brake. If it's not functioning the cars fails and I can no longer drive the car on public roads, my next inspection is due in July.
The cost is almost all for the part:

£1730.98 + VAT (our tax is 20%) is $3,371
Which makes sense, there isn't much labour involved in going in the plastic...
I didn't own it for it's first 18,000 miles, but in it's last 7k (since March)I have rarely used it, really just when parking on a hill. I don't think it's a mechanical wear problem, just an electronics one.
Thankyou very much, that's very helpful!! Is there any indication in the documentation that the part number would be different for a right hand drive car or does it apply to both? My quote mentions connector B23 and B21, do you know if that is the two connectors on the EPB module itself?
At 3 years and six weeks old my electronic parking brake has failed, giving a code of C10E4 and a repair quote of $3,543 (£2,172 I am in the UK) from Nissan. They don't want to make a good will gesture.
I am hoping I can get it fixed for less than that! Does anyone know which fuse would cover...
