Tried out a couple of Bluetooth adapters when I got my 22" SV+, but no success with them and LeafSpy Pro. Been using a wifi adapter since, but sometimes takes a while to connect. Anyone find a good Bluetooth adapter, that works reliably?
I can add my experience of a few days ago, with my 22' SV+ 12V battery. Not long ago I had posted leaf spy data showing the main pack in fine shape. A couple of days later however, out of the blue, I went to start the leaf and was greeted by a dashboard full of very colorful lights and some fast...
14mv difference is low and quite good (my 22' SV+ stays in that range). I don't think we'd get a zero differential practically, but you're just fine at 14mv. If you start getting 50,100 or plus mv's, I'd start keeping a close eye on things. I don't think the BMS system has any problem with...
My 22' SV+ at around 8000 miles ( I'm retired, short trips, trickle charge only, one QC at the dealership two years ago)
SOH: 97.54
Hx: 97.99
Cell Balance: 15 mv
12v @13.04v
If you don't mind parting with about 100 bucks, you can get a self-powered Voltage Data Logger, which I use to check the 12v condition either parked or driving. They just attach using alligator clips. A Data Logger can be set to "sample"over a large range of time, so you can see just what the...
Back to the original topic....because 2 years ago when I got my 22' SV+, I had also looked at a Model 3 prior to that. Then Tesla started raised prices every other month...
I had some interest in the comma AI for the last couple of years since getting my leaf, and, although it appears to perform well on highways and well marked suburban roads, on actual curvy country roads even with markings, not so much.
Glad you posted the question. I've always wondered about front collision avoidance using just radar instead of ultrasonics. My former prius, 2017, had both radar and sonic sensors seem to work well. Don't know why Nissan didn't in the front too. I'll have to try the cardboard box test... As...
The WSJ has been known for a very long time that "It turns right at every stop". Since its been in operation since like 1889, I'm sure that it ran articles on the "Deep State forcing us into using one of those "new fangled" rotary phones instead of the wood box hand-cranked ones, and similarly...
Have to look into a 4G microcell. A conventional "booster" in the valley won't work as the hills are around 500'. I can get calls thru wi-fi no problem. But my 22' leaf needs the "straight from the tower" signal to work. I have a good Router, GPS signal can be received (probably need an external...
I do any occasional check with LeafSpy, but the one thing I look at is cell balance. If its my typical 10-15mv, all is probably well. The other thing is the 12v battery voltage, which has been good for the last year and a half on my 22' SV+. If I want to keep tabs on the 12v other than leafSpy...
Now retired my trips are about 25 miles total maybe2-3 times a week. Perhaps its a update to increase accuracy (or not...). I would just make enough trips to take the battery down to 10-20%, but since I usually solar charge (trickle), and can charge when there's a fair bit of sun (or partly...
