Not a loser but a data point
24k miles. Purchased 3/13 - first batch of 2013 when west coast didn't have any yet
I tried to be really good the second summer after I learned more. Mostly parking in shade in the summer when I was going to be at one location all day. I also cool the garage a bit...
I personally couldn't use the extra miles - I rarely shoot to 100% anyway (free charging in the winter - sure).
But you have to agree that starting with a few more makes degradation easier to live with.
There was a post on the Tesla forum that going to the D was worth an extra year of life...
QC is a good future proofing.
My situation - no QCs in NC when I bought in 3/13. So I didn't get the option.
Today, there are 2 within 5 miles of my house and one at a mall 15 miles away. There are about 7 in the state last I checked.
My commute is 10 miles or so.
With degradation (not yet...
Why do you want the QC option? Sounds like you don't need it.
Since the QC option is popular, it probably doesn't get discounted as much over and above the option cost.
I honestly expect the battery replacement cost to go down in a couple of years. While it isn't directly comparable, it is...
Thanks for that. I clearly am experiencing the same thing as the poster of that thread did.
The tires appear to be worn the same but I'll measure it to be sure.
Hasn't happened the last few days.....
I'd hate to shut off the DSC
Thanks. I hadn't checked after driving.
I'm starting to think that I got used to driving on such little tread that I am noticing the tread. I probably starting driving the car harder and harder over the last 18k and the edges of the front tires were bald - which give the best dry traction...
So I have 18k miles. I drive a little spirited so I replaced my front Ecopias 2 weeks ago - I had never rotated. I got the replacement Ecopias which I believe are a different spec and the new were put on the back. I've been driving a little more gingerly the last month or so - happy to see >5...
Of course aero losses go up with every mph. There is no disagreement here.
40 of course does not equal 50. Your "real world" experience doesn't jive with physics and other Leaf owner's "real world" tests.
All commutes are not the same. I commute and would like to go 80 mph. I have a 10-15...
Just asking for some clarity. Turtle is only 2-4 blocks? Are we talking large blocks - like 1/4 mile each or smaller city blocks.
16k miles and I've hit VLBW in my neighborhood twice. VLBW is about 10 miles so I don't really worry. But if I get turtle, should I be immediately knocking on...
So my Leaf died last week after some warning lights. The dealer replaced the PDM and the charger and I picked up the car late Saturday.
I later noticed the sounds on startup were much different. They did state they did the passenger side airbag update (although they said they did that in Jan)...
It should always be stated that the change to no 80% option is most likely because the EPA punished the rated range. The EPA in all its infinite wisdom used the published range to be an average of 80% charge and 100% charge because the 80% charge option was there. Remove option and the range is...
I would be shocked. I mean shocked if they didn't surpass 3000 every month for the rest of the year.
They are making deals, the battery is better and we have a battery price.
One would have to be crazy to be a 2 car family looking for a new car and not consider the Leaf.
Throw in some...
Just a quick cautionary tale. No QCs in the entire state of NC when I bought 3/13. Now there are several - 6 - in driving range. I would never compare my area to Evansville but you never know. An ISIS attack on our soil might tip even the deep south. Any escalation of war in the area (air...
