Ok, I was able to get another quote today. The dashboard did open up after the 24hr period. There is a link listed in tiny letters about requesting another quote which I clicked on. So I got a real quote from a dealer farther away from me. He wants 33630.00 + a Documentation fee so about...
do you know how long I have to wait before I can a quote from another dealer? The dashboard seems locked until I get a response from the current dealer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mitch,
I just got an email from the local guy. He said the service department is still not certified but that he was. So I have to look elsewhere which I prepared to do anyway. Its just that when you choose your dealer through the dashboard it says they are all for the most part certified...
Well I called Nissan today and got the home assessment waiver. Painless it definitely was ;)
However my next question is this, I had chosen a dealer in Rhode Island as my preferred dealer. But it doesn't show up on my dashboard now another local dealer does. Prior to this, only the RI dealer was...
Thanks for the tips. I guess I was Stunned to get the Email about ordering sooo soon ;) (although Nissan did say Fall 2011) I was getting in a tizzy about what to do about the charger station. I just spent the last hour or so going through the EVSE section of the forum. Also I just got some...
Mine is open here in CT.
I guess now I have to call Nissan about the waiver for the assessment. Has anyone else in New England done this yet? And where are you getting your charger?
Thanks,
Kevin in CT

Anyone else going?

It would be Nice to see them do that. It will be awhile for us up here in the Northeast also. I am also looking at the Mitsubishi iMiev but while it will come to CT in the first group, it won't be till Spring 2012! And I know its Not a Leaf. I was on the bandwagon for the Volt also, but I didn't...
Hi Folks,
I went to the Mitsubishi website and it looks like their EV the iMiev will be available the first of 2012. So we may see them Before the Leaf makes it up here. Also they are offering a Cold Weather Option for areas the get below 0Degrees. I am not sure of the cost of that option, but...
I would imagine that you can have the Leaf serviced at any Leaf-qualified Nissan Dealer. It shouldn't matter where you purchased it. What if you do travel out of state and have a problem? Have it towed back to the dealer you purchased it from or the nearest qualified dealer??

Still...
I spoke with a Honda Salesman in Norwalk,CT yesterday. And he Confidently stated that Honda's Goal is HYDROGEN! No Plug in Stuff or EV other than the hybrids they already have.
Thats too bad!
