I got the BMS software update last week. Mine's a 2017 with 13k miles & 11/16 build.
Before:
11 bars
SOH=83.13%
AHr=66.07
Hx=77.59%
After:
12 bars
SOH=92.24%
Ahr=73.31
Hx=77.73%
I usually try to stop charging around 90% to keep regen braking. Of course there's no setting for 80% charge anymore, so I often don't stop it in time and end up hitting 100%.
One more datapoint for the mix:
2017 lost first bar at 11,200 miles and 84% SOH, Hx=81%. I'm certainly disappointed and expecting to need a replacement within the 8-yr warranty period.
11/16 build date. I bought it fresh off the truck; it was not sitting in the dealer lot.
Location: Texas...
Just did this on my 2017. Added a switch inline for pin 44. Works great! Same behavior as others have said: when disconnected all the nav options are enabled again, but your position also doesn't track well on the map.
^^ great guide
The Nissan connectors are actually Sumitomo brand, but many TE .25 plugs and terminals are compatible as you said. I also added a VSP Off button.
Btw 25172-4NC0A is another valid part # for the VSP Off switch that fits the 2013+ holes, though 3NF0A is easier to find in the US...
I did this backup camera hack on my LEAF today. It is such a useless but funny mod :mrgreen:
You are right you only need to override the reverse signal wire---I used the service manual from NicoClub http://nicoclub.com/manuals/Leaf/2014%20Leaf/av.pdf to find it. Even though the manual is for...
Scouring parts catalogs I found the VSP OFF switch for 2013-2017 LEAFs; figured I would post the part numbers to help others...
There are two matching ones that work (I tried both).
25172-3NF0A can be found at some US dealers, I think it's used in Mexican market cars. I bought mine here for...
I don't have a before/after pic, but It should be a little more than twice as bright as stock because the reverse bulbs are 16W (type 921) and the turns are 21w (type 7440).
The turn signals are probably not focused in any given direction, maybe that lessens the usefulness a bit for reversing.
1) I actually bought a OEM mirror kit for a Hyundai Accent 2012-13, sometimes you can find them real cheap on eBay. Compass/autodimming/Homelink. It included splices, wire cover, everything needed to install. It's Hyundai part 1R062 ADU01 but really just a Gentex ZTVHL3. Pretty much any Gentex...
On my 2017 SV the mirror was on a standard wedge mount. No set screw, just a friction spring clip... stick something in the slot on the bottom to push the spring and you can slide the mirror up and off.
I swapped mine out with am autodimming Homelink mirror and tapped it into the overhead map...
Does this disable the VSP reverse beep and low-speed noise forever (until you re-enable them or reset the battery)
Or are the sounds re-enabled every time you start the car, like the VSP Off button behavior?
Sure. Just checked and my new one has separate wires.
I had actually opened the bad one before returning it, because I heard something loose inside thinking that might be the problem (it was a tiny ball of solder). I remember it looked different and had a little flat ribbon cable.
