    Official Southern California Edison thread

Are you sure it's 60 days? SCE has told me 90 days. Also, it's not clear to me how that works with net metering where you only pay for your usage once a year. Does it mean that if they don't provide a monthly statement for several months you don't have to pay for those months exceeding 60...

    Official Southern California Edison thread

Does anyone have contact info, name and phone number, for a manager in the net metering or billing group for SCE? I went on net metering in May 2011 and everything was fine until I asked to be changed to TOU-D-EV in Oct 2011. At that point the analog net meter was replaced with a net metering...

    Traction Battery Death

Hill, can you provide a little more detail on your gernerator setup, such as: What brand / model of generator do you have? Is it a portable or fixed standby generator? Were there any particular specifications for the sine wave grid quality that you identified as a minimum for your PV inverter...

Gary, has the meeting schedule changed and I didn't notice? I thought the meetings were the 2nd and 4th saturdays. Thanks.

    LEAF L2 @ 208VAC - How nuch current?

My owners manual on page 9-4 for the charging system specifications says: maximum rated current 12A (120v), 18A (240V) maximum power consumption 1.4kVA (120V) 4.8kVA (240V) so if the EVSE will supply more than 16A, and most will, it seems that the charging system may draw up to 18A. Still...

Do It Yourself: 240v from two 120v sources

Could you post a parts list for your meter box? It looks like another fun project. Thanks.

Do It Yourself: 240v from two 120v sources

How do you recommend checking the voltage "under load"? Plug the EVSE into one outlet, start charging at 120 volts and check the voltage in the other outlet? I'm assuming that just checking with a voltmeter won't provide enough load to be a valid test. Thanks.

Do It Yourself: 240v from two 120v sources

My one concern with this type of option is using it in an older home where I'm not comfortable drawing 16 amps if the receptacle circuits are only 15 amps. Is my concern misplaced? Is it possible to incorporate a switched option to allow limiting the current draw to 12 amps, and if so how...

    SPX 32A L2 Plug-In, All-Voltage EVSE

I ordered a unit on the 15th, the CS person said it normally takes a couple of days to process the order. I got a call a couple of days later inquiring about my participation in their Volt installation program. They were very nice about just wanting the express EVSE and not being a Volt owner...

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

I'm scheduled to pick mine up tomorrow. Has anyone had the dealer do a battery evaluation at delivery just to see what you're starting with battery wise? How long does the battery evaluation take, 30 min, 1 hr,??

    Delivery of May 2011 Orders

Yesterday morning my DB went from week of Sept 1 to week of Aug 30, then yesterday afternoon the dealer called and said I could pick it up but then he said they could use a day to finish detailing it so I think it had just come in from the port. Has anyone asked to have a battery evaluation...

    Delivery of May 2011 Orders

We all wonder but there are to many unknown variables, or at least variables we have no control over. I ordered 5/11 and am scheduled for week of Sept 1 with a vin of 79xx.

    Delivery of May 2011 Orders

My estimated delivery just changed to Week of August 29. My owners portal and carwings were also activated and I now have a vin. No emails from Nissan though. Has anybody had any recent delivery experience with Connell Nissan in Costa Mesa, Ca? Do they try to hard sell anything or add on any...
