Counting energy from the wall outlet will of course result in lower numbers as onboard chargers (or offboard in the case of DC chargers) are typically around 90% efficient.

I've been hovering around 4.7mi/kWh yearly average, for the last couple of years. This year will be a bit less (on track for 4.665). Not using the Leaf as much these days. Was averaging over 10mi/day before the Model Y, now averaging more like 1-2mi/day.

Glad that helped. And ever since that happened to me, I make sure the car is off before unplugging the EVSE. Have not had a repeat episode of the problem.
This happened again last night, in my driveway, when starting the car to move it.
Symptoms:
- loud fluid-pumping sound on initial startup (2-3 seconds)
- various yellow dash icons
- rapid pulsing sound on even a light touch of the brake pedal
- car can only be stopped (once in gear) by...
I saw those standard-range (but they won't call them that) Y's around here too, and it was tempting. We decided not to give up the 15% range. So I'm taking a chance on the tax credit. It may get cut in half next month, or I might get lucky and IRS may still not be ready to clarify the rules...
