I prefer Eco off but B mode for the aggressive regen braking. I don't really see any difference between my 2015 and 2022 Leafs as far as use of Eco mode.
In 1.5 years of owning a 22 S+ we have put about 24K miles on it with several short road trips. Our 70+ MPH freeway range is right around 200 miles but we generally try to QC at around 150 miles. Like all Leafs doing more than 1 QC in a day is usually significantly slower on the 2nd and...
I never worry about daily use under 50 miles even at 3 bars lost and almost 84K miles. I use the seat/steering wheel heater and limited heat pump as needed. Very reliable trouble free cars. I swap with my wife for the 22 S+ when I need a bunch of range and we love the S+ for medium road trips...
I liked my Zencar EVSE and used the 24A setting on a 30A circuit many times until it failed to live up to it's IP55 waterproof rating and died. It was under my carport roof but must have gotten some rain splashed on it. I was shocked to find out that Zencar does not consider failure of the...
You may want to expand your search area. I bought my Leaf from your area (Passport Nissan in Alexandria) and hauled it home on a trailer. The following CarGurus with a 500 mile radius search found many options in your price range. I set it to 2015 and later because the 2015 has the best 24KWH...
The inverter in the URL comes with 2 7.5Ah 56V batteries and can take an additional 2 of the same size for an additional $700. Total Wh is 4 x 7.5 x 56 = 1680 Wh. Given all the inefficiencies in the system you would not even get 1 KWh into your battery. Simply finding even a level 2 EVSE on...
If your wife finishes the round trip commute at Low Battery Warning or Very Low Battery Warning, she needs to figure out where she can charge when it gets to the point of not completing the trip.
After 3 years these are flickering on low beam, which is what I use most of the time. They are also the loudest thing on the otherwise silent car when running at night. I have ordered a different brand and will report on them soon.
Wow, another DC area cab Leaf with the same paint job as my car. Mine did not last more than a few weeks because they figured out that without a QC port it would not work as a full time cab. I got a great deal and have enjoyed the car with a unique paint job in the Tidewater area of Virginia. If...
My 2015SV is at 46K miles and 11 bars happened back in October. I have not bothered to have the clicking of the axles lubed because it does not bother me. It has been a great car for my family and should continue to be for years to come.
I concur about being too easy to go too fast. In 2016 I took a 2013 S model on an extended test drive to see if a Leaf would be suitable for my then 54 mile round trip commute. I was speeding any time I was not watching it which made not having cruise control a deal breaker on that S model.
If the battery is not shot, you might try disconnecting the shunt wires that plug in at the negative battery terminal. When that is disconnected, the car in run mode keeps the voltage up at about 14V much longer than when it is plugged in.
