    Any thoughts on Aptera?

FYI if you buy an electric car PG&E will allow you to move to time of use vs. what you have today, it will reduce your cost per kwt by 75% when you charge the car in the midnight-3pm timeframe. My 21' Leaf has a timer so we plug her in and starts to charge at 12:01, so it is about $3-4 per full...

    New member/prospective new owner

Great choice, i have a scarlette red SL Plus and we love the car. There are really no gotcha's other than the 12v battery which has been replaced twice under Nissan Warranty, but even without that it is a $200 repair. You should be seeing some pretty cheap prices on these given how much Tesla...

Is the CCS to CHADEMO adapter legitimate?

I don't post here too often but for sure there is no reason to buy a Leaf today in 2024 given that Nissan has given up on the car, not even doing a SL version anymore and not wanting to spend a dime on the engineering to replace to CCM (why not I really don't get given that Ariya has it so they...

    $12k to replace 24kwh battery?

I think you get that credit if you make under 400,000, so if you make more than 400,00 why are you even thinking about this you can afford a new or recently used car. After my 2011 which had the worst battery in Leaf history lost its range I bought a 2021 SL Plus and never looked back. It is my...

What is your real world range with 40 and 62 KWH?

Our 2011 never went more than 70 miles, the 19' SV we leased in January so far is proving that the advertised range of 150 is low. I drove to work with it about 84 miles round trip and I had 75 left on GOM, not bad given I drove 75MPH most of the way and didn't use Eco.

Owning a 2018 Leaf in Colorado

Nissan refuses to liquid cool their battery packs, I just don't understand it. now they know that their batts degrade and much faster than Volt or Tesla which do liquid cool. I leased a 19' and plan to give it back to Nissan when I am done with it. I really wanted a new Kona EV but they are...

Fenix Power - Took money and but never delivered

i believe that this is a real deal and my 2011 is scheduled to be a test mule for them. I think this is going to be a killer product, but long wait for sure.

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

While I am still a believer that Nissan needs to liquid cool their batteries, when it came time to find a temp replacement for the 2011 essentially useless Leaf I went with another one. The wife (who drives daily) was completely against Volt and Bolt feels too chincy. So bought 2019 Red SV...

    Goodbye Leaf, Hello Model 3

I am indeed Badq45t from Infiniti--been using that handle over on Nissan Infiniti car owners for years. I have a 1997 Q45t still in daily flight, cancels out the gas guzzler with the Leaf on the road.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Wow this is maybe the longest string I have ever seen on a board. So I only found My Nissan leaf board recently, but we bought our Ocean Blue 2011 in December and loved the car. It is my wife's daily driver and for the first 5 years she owned it she had a power source at work so always easy to...

    BATTERY UPGRADE/REPLACEMENT

There is a company that will be offering Leaf Replacement batteries with lots more range, up to 65 kwh too. Fenix Energy, they are going to be taking mine as a test mule, donating for 2 years and I will have to lease something in between, but should be well over 200 miles of range. WIll be about...

    Goodbye Leaf, Hello Model 3

I posted my opinion, I OWN a leaf from Dec 2011 onwards. I still have it and will be having to replace it due to battery degredation. I would lease a leaf but I wouldn't buy one until Nissan puts liquid cooling feature in.

    Goodbye Leaf, Hello Model 3

I wouldn't EVER buy a Leaf, wait for Hyndai Kona EV, 258 miles or range, liquid cooling and more warranty.

If you knew then.. what you know now....

I completely agree with the last post. What a mistake, the extra $$ for a Volt in late 2011 would have been well worth the money. The Leaf is a great driving car and we love it, but the frankly screwing we're taking from Nissan on the battery is unacceptable. I took mine in 2x and was denied...

    Pimp your Leaf (Nismo style)

So the extra power and the body kit are nice to have, but the sport suspension would be amazing. I would pay a grand for that hands down. Nissan are you listening, bring those goodies over here. And BTW, it is Infiniti not Infinity that will hopefully eventually have an electric luxo Tesla...
