Former two time LEAF lease owner here. When I applied for the leases, NMAC passed on the full federal tax incentive to me in the form of a reduced price.
Talked to a friend who is looking into a lease. He was told that NMAC will only pass on $3500 from the federal credit to the customer. Does...
363 gids is the most I've seen.
Degraded packs are certainly a possibility with Nissan dealers. That's why I looked at the VIN when making my purchase decision in addition to Leaf spy data. I would only buy a Leaf that's been on the lot for less than 2 months.
I looked at the referenced page and came to a wildly different conclusion. First off, a 2016 SV is listed at $289/mo with 2400 drive off. Also, the numbers do not include tax license or other fees.
Finally sat down and workedt he numbers with the dealer last night. VPP does not get you much, at least for a lease. Once taxes and fees are added this ends up being $283/mo, $2500 down for 24 months. This is a base SV 30 kWh.
By how much does VPP affect lease offers? I thought VPP was only for purchasing outright.
Suppose the current offer is on the table:
$2500 down, $250/mo for 24 months
Would VPP participation lower those monthly payments at all?
If paying cash is it reasonable to expect $8 K off the MSRP for a 2016 SV? I've seen this happen on the forums, but unsure if this is the exception rather than the rule.
Unfortunately, Nissan in their infinite wisdom gave us a charge start API but they do not have a charge stop API. It would be trivial to design a simple API call that kills charging at a given level.
Well, that's great for 21 k miles. Not so great for 500 miles. Maybe I just don't understand SOH. I did a quick charge and lots of driving today. Pack temps were upper 70s. SOH declined to 90% and was steady across a wide SOC range. I also hit LBW at 19% (50 gids) and VLBW at 9% (25 gids). This...
That's odd behavior. One would expect GIDs to be at their lowest value when the temps are cold since less energy can be extracted on a cold pack compared to a warm one.
I'm puzzling over my new 2015 showing 268 gids/20.8 kWh at 100%. I thought maybe it was just that the pack isn't very warm (it...
