I had the dreaded A/C related master warning issue and had a dead leaf in the garage. So I called Nissan and had it tow to the nearest dealership--Valencia Nissan. It was at closing time when the tow truck got there, but Sam (the service writer) was nice enough to stay behind so I can finish the paperwork. The next day I got a voicemail saying my car was ready, and when I went and pick it up, the technician Jerry that worked on it was very eager to explain in detail what they had to do. I am happy with the service they provided, and with Mother Nissan standing behind them, I think I am very comfortable going to them for future services. I also asked Sam if any Leafers are welcome to use the public charging station they have over there, he asked the service manager and the answer was yes. (Although I would imagine it would be only during business hour). It's a nice location cause you can walk across 2 streets and Valencia Mall is right there.

We're always happy to see dealers participate here, they are a great resource! Please consider editing your post to use upper and lower case letters. Using all upper case is considered the online equivalent of shouting and puts people off.

I was there with an unrelated problem (although I mentioned this problem to them) and they were cool too me, my leaf was the 1st one there, everyone was flocking around it, it was pretty cool. I will be bringing my leaf back there for all of my services.

They were very difficult to deal with back when I was looking around to decide where I was going to place my order in August, but it sounds like their service department may be OK, so I might give them a try. I'm not at all happy with any of the service departments at the dealers more nearby me so I'm still looking...

YES, ... Please tell us what the "details" were!

well I thought it was covered thoroughly in the A/C problem thread (yeah it's too long, mod should modify first post into a summary), but Jerry explained that they ran the computer diagnosis which shows the code #P31E7, POAA6, C10E7. So they contacted Nissan company tech and was instructed to hook up their programming machine onto the leaf, and the company tech remotely reprogrammed the vehicle control module, and reset the system. They then test it with test driving and restarting multiple times. After that they ran another diagnosis and no code showed up. What impress me was the transparency in all this: they showed me the diagnostic printout and let me have a copy, they also show me their internal technical specialist email directing them to contact them if they get that error code.

Yeah I think you, hobbyguy, cashu2 and me were all turned away by their internet sales department when it was ordering time. But I am glad I gave their service department a try and got a positive outcome.

btw I think we should have a SCV/SFV Leaf meet up someday :) (cause we probably won't make it back if we attend the LA gathering lol)

swing by Valencia Nissan dealership today hoping to get a small charge as my evse is sent in for the mod and has planned to run errand within the block. Noticed that they have painted the EV spot to say Electric vehicle only which is nice, but upon plugging it in I am not seeing the blue night on my dash. Took a closer look at the EVSE, seems like there is no green light at all (no power)! I didn't feel like flagging down someone and investigate, but NissanofValencia, if you are reading this, please let us know what happened. I sure hope its not a policy change as in "new customer only".
