Love the local dealer's name that I bought it from, in the town of Maple Ontario.
Maple Nissan.
My maple Leaf, and yes, we do make maple syrup here too.

I would have preferred more space between 100% and ELECTRIC. Not 100% pleased.. but anyway...

@mkjayakumar: Just noticed your rear window wiper. Need to have it checked out B4 the paint gets scratched.

Oh thanks for pointing it out. That was from the Window tinting work that was done at the same time when the "100% Electric" decals were installed.

I will take care of it now.. and thanks.

Love that bumper sticker Rumpole! Where did you get it?

I came up with it, and had it printed on a web site, http://www.zazzle.com. I printed three and they work out to about $5 ea. I put it on a magnetic backing for added flexibility. I thought of it when I was at the Keytone XL rally at the White House, Nov 2011. I thought what if the US could actually cut it's oil demand enough that we could make importing tar sands crude unnecessary. That might be the first step in actually winding down our use of oil (or more accurately, gasoline). They had this cool chant, "Show me what democracy looks like. This is what democracy looks like." What would the end of gasoline look like? I happened to be within one month of my Leaf delivery date, so I was actually going to have a physical embodiment of the answer. :)

fyi, we provide these letters. They are available at http://www.pluginamerica.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, on eBay, or from us at http://www.theblueskyenterprise.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The electric letters were from http://www.pluginamerica.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. We are thinking about some for the front.

Removed the dealers chrome letter badge with tooth floss, 3m adhesive remover, and some patience. Looks great.
Ordered the "ELECTRIC" set from pluginamerica via ebay. Got the ones that are already spaced; made application a snap. Used some blue auto masking tape to center and align the new letters.
Got the windows tinted yesterday.

lion - Post subject: ELECTRIC emblemPosted: Tue May 28, 2013 6:39 am

I know some people have bought this 'ELECTRIC' emblem from eBay. If you were one of them, I wanted to hear if you are still happy with the quality, and if you had any trouble applying it.

I'm thinking about removing the zero emissions logo on the hatch (or move it to the left under the LEAF badge), and put the ELECTRIC emblem there instead.

Also, does anyone know what the big differences are between these 2 'auctions'? Same guy, and I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't figure it out, but 1 is $16, while the other is $25, same pics.

Thanks!
lion, the difference is, the less expensive option is letters you apply individually and the more expensive option is an assembled word/emblem, ready for placement. You can also purchase at pluginamerica.com: https://org.salsalabs.com/o/2711/t/11294/shop/shop.jsp?storefront_KEY=553" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks, after being directed to this thread and reading all 23 pages, I have come to that same conclusion. Thanks for confirming, I have gone ahead and ordered the 1-piece unit. Wish the font matched the LEAF font (or maybe at least not italic), but it should be better than what it shows now.

No, the font doesn't match, but nobody has found one that does. It's probably a Nissan proprietary font. These are a very good-looking match. I love mine. I removed the zero-emission emblem on the right of the hatch and placed ELECTRIC there instead. Enjoy!

Received my letters today. Disappointed they aren't aligned properly, considering I paid a premium for that, but hopefully I can adjust it.

What adhesive remover do you guys recommend? 3M seems to have many positive reviews, but many complain about paint damage.

I'm thinking about getting Griot's Garage 15901 Adhesive Remover, but not many reviews.

Also noticed that there were many scratches behind my badge, very strange since all I did was peel back the badge once I was able to grab it (glue was warm from sitting in the sun).

Thanks! I got mine from there, since it was the same price with free shipping. That is their web shop link, even though their web site is at (www.pluginamerica.org).
