I guess there is no easy way around it but how about replacing the cells as the newer ones get smaller and more energy dense.
Do you know of any candidate replacement cells 3.7-3.8 volts but higher than 33Ah, same volume though that could work for getting the batt pack higher in kWh and do you know if the controller would accept higher Ah cell?
