I did a quick search and didn't find an existing thread.
As most folks here should know, "light trucks" in the US far outsell passenger cars. If you didn't, see http://www.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3022-autosales.html which they unfortunately stopped updating once GM stopped reporting monthly sales numbers. https://web.archive.org/web/20180118012426/http://www.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3022-autosales.html was for 2017.

Gotta love it when Americans decide to keep buying these battering rams of death when gas prices are "cheap". Of course, when they rise, they'll be fleeing and trying to dump them then will run for more efficient vehicles, at a premium, due to demand.
